The Setup:
We were promoting a clients crypto wallet/tracking tool using soft, educational creatives. No token shilling, no “get rich” angles. The funnel had a clean landing page with privacy policy, TOS, disclaimers, etc.
What Happened:
Out of nowhere, the ad account was disabled. No rejected ads, verified BM, everything seemed compliant. The first appeal was auto-rejected (pretty standard these days).
What We Did:
Paused all running campaigns immediately.
Audited creatives—reworded anything that hinted at profit, gains, or financial outcomes.
Re-submitted the appeal with a clear explanation that the product was educational only, not offering financial services or crypto investments.
Also contacted Meta support via live chat through a secondary account with rep access.

Result:
The account was reactivated in about 72 hours after the second appeal.:)
Takeaways:
Even “safe” crypto angles can get flagged due to Meta's tight AI filters
Always include full legal info and avoid any aggressive or overpromising copy
Appeal from a professional domain + structured message = higher success rate

If you're running similar offers, would love to hear what kind of creatives and funnels are still working for you. Let's share insights.

Yes, our customers encounter this case a lot. Although the product is clean and the campaign is set up perfectly, it does not violate any terms of Facebook's policy. But related keywords, or signs of suspicion related to gray hat products are all flagged by Meta's AI. At that time, our job is to calmly appeal in a valid and scientific way. Provide evidence to prove that the account does not violate to be supported in considering retrieving the account.

Can you share how you appealed?

I try to run crypto-related ads only through video content these days, images seem to get flagged faster.

Thanks for sharing. We’ve seen the same – even fully compliant crypto angles can get hit. We usually appeal through agency-level BMs for faster results.

We are also experiencing a lot of such situations recently, perhaps Facebook is gradually tightening its grip.

Here are a few things to keep in mind when running crypto ads
1.Avoid misleading language: Even if the content is educational, make sure that no words can be construed as promising profits.
2.Focus on educational value: Make it clear that your product is only intended to provide information and knowledge.

Facebook Ad Account Disabled Because Cryptocurrency Mostly Comes From Ad Content, You Need To Check The Content Before Running Ad Campaigns

If the cloaking and masking is good enough, black hat ads will run for at least 3 to 4 months before the account is suspended or disabled.

Appreciate you sharing. Same here — even clean crypto angles get flagged. We usually push appeals through agency-level BMs to speed things up.

that's a useful information, chat support meta always has a higher success rate of appeal. Of course, you also have to be prepared that, advertising cryto accounts always disable many :)

Good reminder that clear explanations and patience with appeals can sometimes make the difference.

We usually appeal through agency-level BMs for faster results.

Facebook prohibits cryptocurrency advertising without special permission, so accounts are easily disabled; the only legal way is to apply for Meta’s Crypto Ads Permission or switch to another promotion channel (SEO, community, KOL).

Account disabled for crypto due to violation of Meta's advertising policy, you can only appeal or use other marketing channels besides Facebook.
