Extra High TTFB For My Sites

Hello guys, all of my pages on my Host Gator shared hosting plan have TTFB > 0.3s.

Two Affiliate Sites are having 0.6s TTFB, but my biggest site now has around 6.22s TTFB on average which I know is unacceptable. My site is currently struggling in the SERPS and the reason behind this I believe is the high TTFB. I recently upgraded my sites PHP up to 7.1. I optimized everything I could using this course, and the TTFB of my sites greatly reduced, but they are still very high.

What other steps can I do to reduce the TTFB of my Affiliate Sites?

Do you think it would wise to move all my sites to WPX Hosting Business Plan that is $25 / m ?

Are all your sites hosted on the same host gator plan? Are you using the cheap $5.95 plan? Honestly you will always struggle with speed issues on dirt cheap shared hosting plans, there really is no way around it. Best decision I ever made is switching off shared/managed hosting and setting up my own stacks on the cloud. Cheap options: vultr & digitalocean
