Hi BHW,

was just wondering which criteria you take into account regarding metrics of expired domains except the age of the domain so that it is beneficial to use such domain for PBN purpose ?

da,pa,trust flow then check if the links are not spammy and finally a good history. That will be enough.it is always better to drop the domain if it has many chinese backlinks

I found that PR (not fake PR) is the only credible indicator you can rely
DA/PA can be manipulated easily, just check DA/PA of some spammed domains and you will see what i'm talking about
so go for PR even it's not updated months ago but still show that google loved that domain

I'd stay away from PR as it hasn't been updated in almost 1 1/2 years. PR is/was a metric that could be manipulated as well. I would look at domain authority, trust flow and citation flow (all 20 and above). You'll also need to examine the backlinks to make sure they aren't garbage/spam.

For me trust flow is the best one. Check out if the citation flow is similar to the trust flow, that way you'll have a hint if the domain has spammy links. And then check the link profile and check to see if the links are still live.

PR still counts, it's a google metric and it was and will stay the only metric that show google's love for a domain, other metrics are just based on separate analysis that why you find many of them DA/PA/TC/CF/AhrefPA/DA ... and we will see other metrics everyday because no one can determine or say that it has the real formula to calculate domain strength

For those who said that PR is wortless, i have no reply to them because they talk nonsense

In my oppinion google keeps the PR metrics for themself, they simply do not out the number of the PR of the domain for the public.

Ok let's say that it counts for Google. But how can you trust a metrics that was updated 1,5 years ago? That's non-sense. Since then a Domain could have lost hundreds of quality backlinks and might have gained thousands of spammy backlinks.

I'm saying that it's the most accurate metric, and metrics are used just to narrow the domains search
the value of the domain it's the backlinks
for me DA/PA/CF/TF are just marketing bluff to sell expired domains because i already tried domains with metrics (TF>=20 && DA>20 ...) and they were just as brand new registred domains

IMO

Page Authority > 25
Domain Authority > 15
Citation Flow > 15
Trust Flow > 15

The domain will pass NO SPAM that is clean backlink profile!!
Make sure the links are actually from relevant sites and not spammy

OK, seems like we have some metrics for the domains, what about the age of the domains ? How powerful the age of the domain is comparing to it's metrics ?

I usually Check the DA/PA/TF of the domain and check for some Good Backlinks coming from Big authority sites.

Backlink profile is important. Metrics are pretty much useless.

yes this is the point..metrics are not accurate enough these days..the quality of the backlinks is what is important nowadays..
