Expert Wordpress dev saying hello

I've been reading BHW on and off for what has to be close to 10 years now, but never really introduced myself!

I've been in web design and development for over 15 years. I consider myself to be a top tier Wordpress designer/developer but the problem is, I've spent most of my career making other people a whole lot of money and have yet to make a site of my own that makes a dime. Pretty frustrating, but I'm hoping to change that.

My biggest issue has been lack of discipline working on my own projects along with inability to settle on a one or two ideas, I have a list a mile long of things I want to try "someday" but at 35, someday needs to come sooner than later and going into work every day to keep making my boss wealthy isn't going to cut it.

I'm open to any recommendations you might have for a lowly Wordpress dev like myself. I feel I have the business acumen, it's the execution I seem to have problems with.

Hey there. Welcome to the forum. I pretty much am the same as you. I am on the forum for a while now but never actually had the time to make any contribution until now. I really laughed at the part where you said: "making other people a whole lot of money and have yet to make a site of my own that makes a dime" - My suggestion for you will be to first help yourself then help the others. You know how they say: "First mend yourself, and then mend others".
