Never had a site banned cuz I don't suck.
Every WP site I let lapse though got hacked. Easy fixes but a PITA. I hate WP.
I don't believe in updating to the latest all the time to avoid unforeseen bugs, but if you forget about a WP site and let it sit there for months (years in one case), it'll get hacked sooner or later.
