This is an example of a keyword for a niche I am researching on Moz:
The purpose of this is a quick evaluation of the data presented through a few questions that I have. So let us begin!!!
- The volume range is quite low. Of course, some niches may still be profitable with low VR, but with this keyword in particular, the KD is 18 and KO is 56, with a Potential Score of 64. Obviously it will be near impossible to find PS of 80+, so is it fair to assume that a PS of 64 is a generally good indication of whether a keyword can be ranked?
- The average PA of the top 10 results is 31, and the average DA is 43. Almost all of the new posts I see advise that metrics are NOT the main thing that should be focused on, however I feel as though DA is still quite important as it can help in providing a clearer picture of the # of Authority Sites in any search. One of the pages has a DA of 66, would that be considered high enough to be considered an Authority Site??? What is the general score that could define if a site is an Authority Site??
- What is the difference between RDs to D, and RDs to Page? Clearly the RDs to Page is very low compared to RDs to D.
- With the VR or 1700, PS of 64 and average DA of 43, I conclude that it is quite possible with time and effort to rank a $$ site onto the first page of the SERPs. What do you guys think?
- Lastly, this is only through Moz. Is it generally necessary to use more than one keyword analysis tool for more concrete results, or is using one tool just fine? Furthermore, what do you guys personally use? ATM I am using Moz and Semrush and I find them to work just fine.
