Ever worry about privacy?

Of course, being an internet marketer has its benefits.
However, knowing that (hypothetically):
  • Your links / backlinks to other pages will be stored forever
  • All the emails that you've sent / others have sent about you will be stored forever
  • Possibly there are traces of you all over the internet, stored by multiple companies / agencies
Does this bother you, if not, then why?
Ever get worried that the website you are creating will be stored for a lifetime (possibly even after your lifetime?) Would this stop you from creating a profitable website? Has me contemplating such...
Concerned that your data (site data, even personal stuff like Google apps you may use) is stored by the big G? Even when you try to delete your accounts, is it actually removed from their servers, or just abstracted? Privacy an issue for you at all, or do you think this will be eventually destroyed anyway by whatever means (theories)?
If you could delete all of this in one day would you? Just curious to know...

You can put a bit of code in your robots.txt to avoid archive.org & google cache from crawling you.
Emails and those things, send knowing that more than just your intended recipient will read them. Just like a gf shows screenshots to her girl friends.
Don't tie much to your real name/address. Different username everywhere.
Just some precautions to take. Ultimately doesn't bother me. What do I care about some meta data. Can only minimize it so much before you get a tin foil hat. So what google knows I play Golf Clash on my android device. Use Adblock, pihole, etc, you will never see the ads. No use being in a state of anxiety over it. They collect only the data you give them. End of the day is it really that important?
 
The government also have your data...what you gonna do about that?
 
It used to bother me a lot. I've considered going full ghost many times but it's so much fucking work to maintain an anon life, especially in a western country.

I don't care about an individual site that I create or my spam social accounts.

Social media websites and search engines tracking and building profiles around everyone, and sharing that data with each other concerns me somewhat.

But whatever. I try not to think about privacy anymore, because it's too late to do anything about it.

It's kind of like artificial intellegence. Things are advancing so rapidly in that world, it's too late to stop it. It'll either wipe out the human race or it won't, nothing we can do now. No point worrying about it too much, lol.
 
I hate to break it to you but privacy is getting harder and harder to maintain online
 
In this connected world, it can get hard to protect your privacy. Unless, you totally start living off the grid.

I don't really like putting my entire life social media though - So there's that. At least I got that front covered.
 
It can be difficult to think about sometimes. Basically, our thoughts aren't our own, it's all getting stored somewhere. But really, you've got two choices:
  • Stop thinking about it altogether and do your best to not do anything sketchy, so you can't get exposed by your internet habits.
  • Actively revolt against the system and campaign to give consumers more control over their own information.
I'm pretty much right in the middle though. Most of the time I don't think about it at all until I remember that privacy issues exist and stop using the internet altogether for a few days. We're living in a Black Mirror episode, but the only thing we can do is learn to live with it.
 
Privacy is premium.. the more you want to hide things costlier it becomes
 
watch snowden (https://www.imdb.com/title/tt3774114/) , learn how any device with camera can actually hear or watch you...you have now alexa and other AI in your house, smart cars etc..anything that is online can be tracked and breached...its as simple is that...there is no privacy in smart life...the real question is whether you are worth that much to use that against you or not :cool:

Archive.org made some changes recently and currently is ignoring the robots.txt
 
Need some more opinions.. :)
 
in fact i don't feel worry , as long you online kinda no "privacy " at now . as some member claim Gov monitor , your ISP already record every log file etc Than FB , etc

Google king of internet also got it .. look how well the adsense works . it will behind monitor your search etc and idsplay the ad of your interest. This is why attract aderstier as for others
