I don't blame you for thinking I'm an australian taking advantage of a natural disaster. I grew up going to international school in various different countries because of my dad's job. Then in the last 2yrs I moved back to Japan, trying to do IM and part-time jobs. I went to Australia for uni, so thats why I have friends offering me a place to stay

Anyway, the severe area in Japan is the whole coastal area around Miyagi where the tsunami hit, and Fukushima- where there's radiation threats.

I think things are normal around Osaka because its more down south. But there's some trouble in Tokyo too. Trains are not working, and a lot of basic necessities are hard to buy.

Again, if you put into perspective the millions of people in Miyagi losing homes, families, and everything they've ever owned, situation in Tokyo is like a little pebble.

Sorry to hear this man , from what i learned the easiest way to make money is Website Flipping or CPA , i see that you can buid a blog + onpage seo , so you can start with website flipping.
About CPA , try to download all the course and method from BHW and READ THEM ALL TWICE OR THREE times after that start the action , its not that hard.

I've never done website flipping. Does it still earn a good amount these days? How can I add value and sell the domain for a higher price? Also, when you buy the domain, do we have to wait for a few weeks until we can re-sell it?

Hello sorry to hear about your situation. I am a newbie myself, here are my thoughts..Since you have twitter followers already work on getting more Twitter pages and get some FB fan pages. People tend to respond when you tap into their emotions, so start a page similar to stuff like..

JapaneseTsunamiSurvivor or ISurvivedJapan (etc.) Any pictures you have or videos you can get (I know you said the videos you are not sure about) but sorry you will basically have to exploit your situation.

What kind of updates are you giving to your current followers? What ever your updates you are, use it for your FB fan page but make it limited enough for you to start a WP blog in order to use a content unlocker.

For example put one pic on FB fan page, Tweet link to one pic. Then if they want to see an album have them unlock the content.

And use social bookmarks to promote the content from a CPA network with incentive traffic allowed. Focus on the networks that do not require phone call or verification (because of your living situation).

Overall I would also go to odesk, freelancer, or simply google freelance sites to find others to write articles to earn cash. As fas as fiverr, there seems to be alot of competition in every niche but I find the guys who offer more than one service have the advantage (but I think it might not be worth the $4 payment for you, I don't know you decide.)

Here is an example of what I mean about fiverr. One fiverr might say he will upload a WP template for you for $5, but the other fiverr says s/he will upload 5 templates and install 5 plugins for each for $5 will get more business, quantity is trumphing over there.
