Evacuated Japan, Need to Make Money

You may also want arbitrage. Go to odesk/elance/freelancer and look for article writing projects ($2.50+ per 500words) and bid on it. Then create similar project hiring article writers for a smaller amount compared to the previous article writing projects that you have bid for. I like filipino writers for this matter because you can easily pay them 1.50 for every 500word articles and they have good work ethics and good in english writing, sometimes they agree for lower amounts. So basically you act as the middleman. Since there will be alot more time for other work, you may try fiverr and other fiverr related sites (tenbux, zeerk, uphype, ffiver, nixerr, justafive, gigme5, gigbucks, gigswood, goferr, dealerr, tenyt, myntmarket, dollar3, homeworkgigs, sevenstew, upto20, jobsfor10) and offer your seo services and sell free stuffs (ebooks, guides which most people don't know where to get for free). I believe there has been a shared classified poster here in bhw, you may want to check that also to sell other stuffs/services. There are stuffs you can work on but I would stick to these types of work just to remain focused. Hope it helps you.

First off , I want to say I feel for you and your countries situation. We'll keep you in our prayers. Now for to the business at hand, your writing skill seems to be good enough to write 4,5 and 600 word articles for money. Try a couple of different things but don't spread your self to thin the more hooks you have in the water the better off you'll be. You will start to see the winners and you can focus your efforts. Here are places where you can make money writing.

You can try oDesk or elance! I am sure about fiverr though. It takes forever to withdraw the revenues and the 20% commission rate is just insane. Good luck!

While you're figuring out some sort of affiliate strategy offer translation services on fiverr, elance, GAF, and odesk. Set up your profile and browse for an hour or so a day bidding on different jap/eng eng/jap projects.

Hi guys, thanks for the thoughtful responses, I'm really grateful!

Out of all the great suggestions, I've decided to browse through ODESK and ELANCE for jobs I could do with my skill-sets.

Hopefully I can get a job soon!

I'm also looking for short-medium term ideas I can initiate just in case oDesk and eLance is non-sufficient...do you guys have any more ideas??

Thanks!!!

You also can buy Scrapebox, few proxyes, and VPS and go to Fiverr and make an best deal offering backlinks. You will make $$$$ !

Scrapebox is around 60$, proxyes around 10-20$, VPS around 20. Good luck mate.

The fastest option for you right now is to make money via freelancing and providing services. Dont waste time on Elance or Odesk, you will take ages to win a project and get paid if you are not a seasoned provider with lots of reviews, as you will have to compete with Indians and others Asian providers who will be having lots of reviews already and will work for lot lesser than you would expect. I speak by personal experience, who has been working on those freelancing sites for past 3 years.

For you, if you can really provide something of value, there are lot of potential buyers here in BHW family, who will be willing to help you(including me).

Post your service thread, get it reviewed by a mod here, explain him your situation so he might process your application over others, since the mods are also busy gentle men, be polite to them when asking to review your service.

We at BHW will do our best to help you out.

My best wishes with you!

Bro, I would go for strictly CPA if I were in your situation. That way you can generate some really fast bucks...

I realize it has been said a lot in this thread, but I thought I would back it up some more and that's freelance writing.

For the past 2 days I've been doing freelance writing in my spare time while watching TV and made a quick and easy $45. I know it's not a lot, but the site I'm working for pays every 2 weeks.

You said you don't have a job so I'm sure if you're dedicated you can work 8 hours a day and I imagine at least 20 articles with that amount of time. 20 x $4 or $5 = $80 -$100/day.

It's not a ton, but it's the only GUARANTEED cash you will receive in IM. It sounds like you have the grammar and English skills so all it takes is hard and dedicated work.

I feel terribly sorry for your situation and the advice I'm giving is the 100% the best I can give. If you put the time in you can definitely make at least $50/day. It's not a lot, but it is something.

PM me if you want to know the site I use. It doesn't have many jobs so I don't want to create competition for myself. It may seem selfish, but there are a hundred other sites out there and I'm just giving you the one that I know works.

Everyone falls down, but it's how you get up that defines who you are. The best of luck to you.

Freelance - quickest money you'll make. SEO and CPA stuff will take too much time, which you don't have. You can even sell unique articles (convert japan > english articles).

I wish i could help more but that's the quickest money idea i can think of..

in those fiverr like sites , make a thread similar to these :

"I ll tell you my story in telephone :
how I escaped from Japan ,
How I survived during those 5 days after in Japan Tsunami
Unhumanistic things I witnessed after Japan Tsunami
..."

Some ill people and some curious people will buy your gigs ..

If you have some photos : " I ll send you a not seen/released photo of Japan Tsunami ... photo : caos in the airport , escapes in airport ...etc..

I think you get the idea , and I am also so sorry for your country and your people. And , all the world have seen your people were really respectfull to each other even in these terrible days..The above things are just marketing words u know, to help you , nothing more ..

Good luck..

Hey man,
What is happening now in Japan is bad, it's chaos, and we want to help you.
First things first I think you should prepare a little and calm down, make a long-term plan. I think it will take some time but you will get there. I would put those seo skills to good use and make a website. Maybe even talk about your experience as people here suggested. Once you have a website start building links (Scrapebox) and get traffic. But don't forget to think about how you will monetize it. Good luck!

Thanks for the suggestions. I'm searching jobs on odesk, and signing up to freelance writing sites to land me a few jobs!

I'll update progress when things get better

Thanks everyone!!!

@ indianbill007

yeah its a nice idea but I guess it is pretty hard for mods to approve service threads which are not unique and don't put value on bhw to make the quality of this forum.

I would suggest you to browse the hireafreelancer section and may be open a JV thread where you can offer that he is available for getting hired for some non technicality/ technical work and are ready to get paid for whatever % his JV partner decides. This way he might get a deal.

EXACTLY!
Speaking from my own personal experience: it takes too much time to build reputation there as a freelancer and until then you will have to work for very small amounts of money.

Start a thread here, offer your services to others. Many people will help you out!

I really admire people in your contry, Japanese are one of the most organized, disciplined and work-a-holic nations. Good luck, man!

Where were you living in Japan? Everything seems to be settling down in Japan. The World Health Organization says it safe to visit and there is no risk outside radiation zone

We live in the state next to Fukushima called Tochigi. I also read the news today about the WHO saying it's safe to visit outside the radiation zone, which is set at 30km. There's still precautions telling us to wear long-sleeved shirts, and to stay indoors as much as we can. The US/UK government on the contrary has told their people to evacuate to at least 80km radius of the nuclear plant. So there's this whole clash of "expert" opinions which confuses us as to which information is correct.

It might be safe to visit but it's definitely not the best time. If you go into a supermarket, there's no water, battery, toilet-paper, rice, etc - and there's still M4~5 aftershocks around the area so it's not pleasant...

It's very interesting that japanese students here continue living their lives and telling people around that everything is normal except the area where the tsunami hit. Are you sure you're not an australian who's taking advantage of a natural disaster to steal methods and is that why your english is flawless?
