Essential Web Developer tools?

When building a website for a client what are the most needed tools/resources?
I'm going to be getting paid pretty soon, I want to invest my time in buying the necessary items
for work.

I wanted to know what is your list, or your tools You need for web development work.
Drop a comment below, I look at all the comments.

This is my list right now.

1. New computer.

2. better graphics card.

3. Better CPU unit.

that is my list so far.
pretty short I know.

No no no dont even think about computer hardware i saw someone code a site on the worst machine u ever saw u can write code in notepad spend your cash on learning.

Alright sounds good, I guess plans changed.

A decent display (something like 1600x900) and a GPU that can handle that display, but it's not necessary.

Have you considered just posting all of this in one thread rather than creating multiple smaller threads?
