England vs Uruguay

England now out of the worldcup 2014and i really like uruguay 2nd goal

To be honest I don't think we will even beat Costa Rica.

If Costa Rica play with the same effort they did against Uruguay, there's no way they will lose against both us and Italy either.

And as a born and bred Scouser and lifelong Red, I hate to say this - but Gerrard is starting to make far too many basic and costly errors.

I think Roy Hodgson should stay though.

I actually believe we can still get out of the group, I can see Italy picking up 6 points from their next two games.

Have to agree with you on Gerrard, he has been a fantastic player for Liverpool this season but has been anonymous at best in our two group games.

Also agree regarding Hodgson, he's got England playing better football than they have done in years. Give him a couple more years and look to the Euros in 2016!

By better football I mean playing the right way, not necessarily doing it brilliantly just yet.

If I was Roy I'd switch it up majorly for the Costa Rica game, start Wilshere, play Lallana behind Lambert, Oxlade Chamberlain on the right and Luke Shaw over Baines.

I think that Baines is a great asset for any team going forward and particularly in terms of set pieces; however, he is so off form and his defensive play was poor last night. Glen Johnson was also hopeless defensively last night and gave Cavani all the time in the world to find Suarez. Why on earth hasn't Flanagan been taken out there? I'd rather see Smalling or Jones at RB than Johnson.

Also speaking of set pieces... How can 'professional' footballers not beat the first man from a corner? Absolutely pathetic set pieces all round last night, the only exception being Rooney's early free kick that was very very close and had it been on target a certain goal.

Uruguay... I love that country. (never been)
They have less that 4 million people.
Won the world cup TWICE (once more than England)
Their president is awesome (Jose Mujica -- look him up).
And... they whupped Englands ass. (hehe)

I agree with you about Italy winning their next two, but the way we played last night I just don't see us beating Costa Rica. Having beaten Uruguay they also have a huge psychological advantage in their favour now too.

Hodgson has been a breath of fresh air I think - he hasn't been afraid to mix things up and bring in younger talent, which we have been in desperate need of for a long time.

I can see him and the squad doing well in the next few years, but unfortunately I think they should save a few quid and get the flights home booked early.

I really hope it's not the case though, clearly.

Well I'm pinning my hopes on Hodgson giving some of the younger and newer lads their time to shine. Players like Barkley, Lallana, Lambert and the rest have something to prove with an England shirt on.

I think if we give them their chance and really get behind them then we have at least a fighting chance. It all rests on the game at 5pm today though for now.

Such a worldcup :/
My favorite teams are going one by one... Now England almost gone :(

Comeon Germany.. Do something...

Well that's the end of that then.

I honestly felt no sense of disappointment watching that game - Costa Rica thoroughly deserved that win.

I know who I will be supporting for the rest of the tournament - one of my favourite countries too.
