For those outside the UK/Uruguay this may not be the most interesting topic, but how do you guys feel about tonight's game? Who do you think will win it? Obviously this is a big game for both sides. A loss for England would almost certainly mean an early flight home. Having said that I was really impressed with England's form against Italy, despite our defeat. The whole team looks in better shape than previous WC's and I have hope that we will get through the group stages.

So what do you think? Any score prediction's?

I agree with you on our form looking good; however, I think that a better last substitution could have picked us up a point. Ricky Lambert should have definitely been put on.

I really think we can show our class against Uraguay, initially their striking partnership looks daunting but Cavani seems to has lost his edge from playing on the right for most of the season and Suarez is still not at 100% I wouldn't think. It's not often I'm optimistic about England's football but I think we can win the game tonight 2-0.

For me Welbeck has to start again tonight, his performance was very impressive. I also think that Rooney should start as noone worked harder than him against Italy.

I think we can beat them but we have to get our defense sorted - especially with Suarez starting.

On the plus side, there are enough Liverpool players in the side to know how to handle him (he says hopefully).

And I really think Rooney should be on the bench as he hasn't been that good so far. Being benched will anger him but maybe he will channel that anger constructively and liven himself up.

I just hope they give him the chance he needs back in the number 10 position. I still don't really understand the motivation behind his positioning against Italy.

Commiserations on Spain's performance. Last nights game was a shocker. Lost me a £10 bet!!

I don't get where all this criticism for Rooney comes from? His work rate was phenomenal and he also assisted Sturridge for our goal. I'm not a fan of Rooney, as I'm a City fan; however, I do think that he's England's best player.

We can do it if the lads dont plod it like they usually do...So it's a case of growing some cahunas. If they do we can smash Uruguay. If they don't it will be same old story and Suarez will send us home.

I'm not suggesting he's not a good player - he's quality. And that cross was blinding. He just seems to have lost his edge lately and we can't afford a slow start.

We need to stamp our attacking authority on the game straight away.

Whatever the starting line-up is, this is going to be another one of those damned nerve-racking games.

I'm pretty sure my head will explode if Suarez pulls any of his cheating antics tonight that sway the game. He is the worst kind of footballer, incredibly talented but an absolute arse on the pitch.

Absolutely agree with losing a bit of his edge, that seems to happen when he pulls on an England shirt.

The reason I like Rooney is that you know he will put the work in on the pitch (nowadays anyway) and that he is capable of pulling off some absolute brilliance at times.

Maybe shaking it up will do the trick! Who would you start instead of Rooney?

I agree, he is brilliant at setting up opportunities but recently he has been unable to seal the deal. Whether that is the pressure both on and off the pitch that is influencing his game I don't know, but tonight is not the night for it to go to his head.

That being said, our media is the WORST for putting our players down. Its no surprise that all the negative press is denting his performance.
