So, I've launched my first tube using Netu.tv as my video host and Im having loads of issues with them. Tried GoUnlimited and they're OK but ultimately I really want the best possible UX so I am weighing towards VPS/Dedicated servers.

My issue is that I do not understand this stuff at all, not in the slightest. No matter what I would need a host that is managed and can work with me to understand the workflow and process because i is noob.

My question is: can someone help me parse together exactly what I need for my specific site as far as video hosting servers and what I need to do to make it happen? I've been searching, messaging companies through skype, talking to CS agents and I'm just not getting answers that make sense.

My needs:

  • Im running an adult tube with approx 500 1GB video files that need to be hosted and streamed.
  • If I could migrate these from Netu.tv easily that would be helpful but not necessary, I don't mind replacing all the source files.
  • My traffic is all Tier 1 and I need an extremely fast stream.
  • My plan is to have a few thousand videos (up to 10k) when all is said and done, that are self hosted.
  • I don't know how bandwidth works with streaming but my plan is to have 'as many visitors as possible' my niche is extremely popular.
  • I don't know anything about coding or programming and I would need this to be 100% managed or at least managed part time or provided with an account manager who is patient enough to deal with my ignorance. I don't really know.
  • I would like to upload via FTP or something as easy/easier and simply insert my embed code or url into my CMS.
  • I currently host my site with TMD - should I migrate hosting my site to the VPS/dedicated server?

Seriously, thanks in advance for the advice. Any companies doing self promo by answering my questions: this is an opportunity. Take my money. I've contacted 4 hosting companies to ask questions and their response times are poor. First come first serve. Could be a long time customer here.

Also, I am looking into migrating from WPress to KVS for my CMS. Is there a hosting company that can help with the install/migration? Worst comes to worst I could start from scratch again.
