Double 301 - Lifts Manual Penalty?

Interesting shit, One of my site going to get a manual action sooner or later, It will come handy. But I got feeling, It's not going to work now. Such thing stop working when they got shared publicly. No harm in trying though.

I actually tried redirecting penalized domains to see what will happen... nothing. Exactly nothing. Google doesn't crawl it, so nope, I wont say this is working anymore. This domain was penalized for months, maybe thats important, who knows, but at least from my test it seems that there is no effect at all - Google ignore the domain like doesn't exist.

I've heard both opinions, but I have not tested by myself because I don't currently have any penalized domains.
The fact is that, if you do, you can just monitor it, with something like screaming frog log analyzer filtering by domain referral... if your second redirection domain gives any activity then it might be useful.

I've heard that redirecting from penalized domain A to a second domain B and using domain B as a PBN to link the third domain C could be more adequate since Google will be bypassing domain A in all the link juicing prospecting.
But it is extremely difficult to prove (except for those cases that the domain C regenerates the traffic in a matter of months without any other activity)

I've seen a guy showing some proofs late 2018 and it seems it was done successfully. But it's just 1 proof from 1 guy. Legit? No idea.
