Guys, I've got this low competition keyword. The currently #1 page on google for my keyword is just a page optimized for that keyword and is PR 3, but the main the domain of the site is ranking something else. Next are youtube videos with N/A PR. So with my EMD I'm sure I can outrank that page and I've come up with this idea if some of you tried it out and see results, please tell me. 1- Create about 30 tumblr manually (using vps 1 ip for each account). Publish 3posts of about 300words that I'll write myself. Contextual linking (dofo llow) to my EMD site. 2- Do the same other web 2 sites like blog dot com, wordpress dot com (coz google's gonna index them faster) but with the same 4posts . That's all. So I'll get like 1link*4posts*30blogs on * 3webs = 360backlinks. Doesn't matter if their PR is N/A but got the backlinks. What are your thoughts about that?

Hey,

I think that should be good to rank a low competition keyword.

Also consider getting social signals on your website (fb likes/shares , google plus 1s, twitter retweets etc) , that will help in indexing the site much faster, it will also help getting better in search results !

Hi Molibwe.

Good luck with your strategy mate. So is that right, you can use the same posts on each web 2.0 property with a link to site? Would that not be seen as not unique?

Yes, you're right, but the main goal of doing this is to get backlinks to my site. And links contextual links count as backlinks even if they're not unique. I've created 30 tumblr blog manually and posted 4 articles on the first one and then reposted those articles from the first blog. Hope to see some results soon. Later I'll do the same for webs.com and see what it will give.

Let us know what results you get, good or bad. Interested in seeing how this turns out.

Duplicate content is clearly worse than non-unique content, so I'm not sure how well that would work. Everything I read has been to the contrary, especially for thin content (less than 500 words).

Keep us posted, and hopefully with a few tweaks you'll get the SERPs you want.

Tell us the results, I'm relatively new to SEO and would like to know what is good.

Are you going to write 360 articles? or just going to use the same 3 articles 120 times without spun?

For Tumblr I didn't care about article unicity. Just created the first tumblr blog and for the other 29 blog, I just reblog the first blog's posts. Hoping that they get all indexed by google. And I'm sure they ill coz they have different blog url and they are hosted on the reputed tumblr domain. So there are some chance to get them indexed. I'll care for article unicity for other web 2 sites coming on. Waiting to see some results.

Can't say anything right now. But what matters is google to index all those blogs and posts. I'll care about article unicity for the next hit (webs.com) 30 blogs on different IPs and 4posts each. It's not gonna be hard to do it manually but to get results I have to do it. So...that's it.

I'll always update the thread to show what I'm doing, the progress and results. Everything, so all suggestions are welcome.

Didn't get u on this bro. Duplicate contents are non-unique contents. But the thing I did for tumblr is reblogging what the first blog has posted. The good thing for tumblr is that I see google indexed lot of duplicate contents from tumblr blogs "Reblogged posts etc...."

Meant duplicate content is clearly worse than 50-90% unique content.

Hope to see you get results.
