Glad to hear your buying views helped your channel out. Otherwise most of the youtube employee checks on your channel are regarding the content which is being uploaded by the creator

External views are one of the biggest determining factors when it comes to the YouTube algorithm suggesting your video. YouTube wants people to stay on their platform as long as possible and if you are bringing people from OUTSIDE YouTube to watch your video then it's an important data point and they will promote you more.
The majority of videos on trending get there because there is tons of talk and people sharing it outside of YouTube.

That is not true at all. YouTube still suggested my video after getting external views. Now after 3 weeks I'm at 160k views with 90% of my views coming from suggested.
Thanks for your input though.

It IS true; if your video increased in views then my statement was correct.....
It doesn't mean that your views will continue to come from external, the external views are used as data points to then serve to users on the platform through suggested.
