Does schema help rank?

Yes, it does. Especially for local.

If you are intrested in increasing your search visibility, for your target keywords, schema can do the job for you

Yes, Technically schema is very important, it helps you to rank because, with the schema you are actually providing info to search engines about your website, your ranking depends on how good info you are providing to the search engine.

An article on schema.org states that “Schema markup can be used to describe what a page is about and provide more information for search engines and users than traditional HTML tags.” A website might use this type of markup to explain the various types of pizzas that they serve including ingredients, toppings, and prices.

The modern web user, especially those who are reading online content, utilizes social media networks to share their knowledge. This is the reason that many websites are utilizing Schema markup to improve search engine optimization.

The main goal of Schema markup is to create a description of what a webpage is about to increase relevance for individual pages. This helps website owners in the search engine rankings, as well as aiding web users in finding what they are looking for much more quickly and easily.

I apologize for bringing up an old topic. I noticed my competitors are using product markup for their main page for their e-commerce store. So I copied :D But I don't particularly like it's picking up random images to display in serp besides the result (for example, sometimes it will show shoes for watches category). Should I use organizational one with logo (I believe it should use logo then) or better leave it as product as it contains some important keywords I'm trying to rank for?
Ranking for me is more important than the image but I don't know how much the markup contents actually affects ranking, maybe I can get both (rank and logo).

yes it is one of the factor although is not the biggest factor but no harm doing it

If I understand correctly, Product markup is still better then Organizational one because of keywords in it although it's 'wrong' by type?

When Google understands the entities that exist on the page and what they are about, ranking becomes simpler. Therefore, employing schema markup alone won't improve your ranking. you should also focus on other things like keywords etc

Schema is highly recommended for your website as it can indirectly increase your site rank.

I'm sorry Pradeep, I didn't think people would ignore the last comments. Should have created a new thread.
