Does PopAds affect my website SEO?

Hi,

I have a website which is performing well in SEO. However, recently I started PopAds campaign as my website as the landing page. Not surprisingly, the average time on site by pop ads is low and bounce rate of pop ads traffic is too high. I am starting to wonder. Does this affect my website's overall SEO? If yes, what can I do?

Pop unders? Bounce rate goes up when I add any popups or popunders. SEO I'm not 100% sure on that, I went the safe route and eliminated all popunders for now.

Bounce Rate skyrockets when I add Popups of any sort. I wouldn't bother.

You have to understand the difference between SEO and aggressive pop-ups blocked by Chrome browser. Right now they operate separately, who knows how long it'll last. So, if your website ranks well and you see a decline in average time on site it may be because Chrome is blocking your ads and pop-pups. You need to dig deeper to find out what's causing it. Visit your site as a 'guest' or using a VPN to see if there is a warning in the URL bar like 'pop-ups blocked or ads blocked or something like this:

With that warning, your visitors basically see a blank page unless they click 'allow', and not too many people do that.

Yes google doesn’t like pop ups and pop unders avoid this on money site

I don't have data to back this up but logically it'd affect your rankings. Google wants to provide relevant results to users with good UX (just see how much google cares about mobile friendly pages for mobile users) but popads go against user experience. If everyone in your niche (like subtitles, torrents or something) are using popads, then sure, you won't lag behind competitors because of it but if none of the competitors are using popads, then it implies that your traffic has better value and not worth the pennies you'd get with pop.

YES...it CAN cause negative impact on your website's overall seo.
google is not in favour of popads.

Only use it if you don't rely on Google searches too much, or if you don't have any competition.

Save the Frontpage as an image. Place it on new subpage. Send traffic here.

This is a better advise than you actually would think.

If you put a lot of popunders then yes since users will get annoyed and won't stay on your site.

What about creating one more LP on the same website. And block that LP from a search engine then it's fine I guess. Because google cant crawl the LP so it won't affect that site though website same.
