Does Instagram have any sort of ROI?

Hey all, I'm new here (as you can probably see). I have an Instagram account currently at 4K gaining about 1K followers bi-weekly (~500 per week). As I am progressing further along with the account, I was wondering if Instagram had any sort of ROI for the time spent growing and maintaining it. I know about affiliate marketing and some of the things you can do with a large audience. How do you guys make money off of Instagram? Do you have any custom methods you use or tips about where I'm currently at?

Any methods you share or tips for me that you provide would be appreciated.

The best ROI in my opinion is if you can start your own website and get users from IG onto your platform. This will enable you to stop relying on IG for income and give you control over your customers.

I recommend affiliate programs or any other email marketing schemes to start turning your users into cash

Not anymore. IG now tends to get more and more difficult to make money from.

Instagram is my #1 source of income at the moment, it's great especially for drop shipping.

Also paid ads are working specifically well, with the right interests targeted you can target pretty much any niche.

Can you explain to me what drop shipping is? Also, how do you get the people wanting to pay for ads?

I'm doing dropshipping and using IG for traffic. I've gotten around 4 or 5 sales at 13k followers (so around 80$, and no money spent on ads). I'm picking up a lot of speed recently, and I'm pushing 2k followers every week. Making a store and using email marketing helps to capture more leads and get a longer ROI out of your customers. I have friends though who make quite a lot using IG utilizing shoutouts.

I would disagree...I am making thousands per month off of IG...its definitely not a walk in the park but I wouldn't discourage anyone...put in the work and you can succeed,

I can answer this...Dropshipping is selling something you don't own...find some low priced goods that arent necessarily trademarked and set up your own e-com site and sell it yourself and ship it to the buyer.

You can do this by finding products that your followers will buy and directing them to your website via IG link in profile...very basic concept and easiest way to make a couple hundred a month

May I ask how you are getting you 2k followers a week? On one account? What niche?

I can help answer this one as well...as i said before Dropshipping is the quickest way to make money off of low following...simply set up an e-com site and direct people to your shop.

Selling ads is easy as well...grow your page to 10K+ and use ShoutCart or other sites to post your account for advertisers to see you and buy shoutouts from you. This method takes longer but is well worth it. People will also DM or email you asking to advertise their businesses once your account grows to the top of a niche

Another way to make money off IG is to sell accounts...I have sold a couple accounts in the last week alone...one at 15k for $300 and another at 20k for $600.

You're already established there, I assume? For new IG accounts the scenario is not encouraging.

What about instead of making an ecom website ,why don't I make an extra IG account (store account,to showcase the items being sold) and the members can check it out and directly pay somehow?

Without using an ecom site, is there any way to do it?

No there is no such thing.

If you are looking for free hosting, you can host it at envystore or using Wix free plan or other free option. No need to pay money

I don't say anything about Shopify. If you want it truly free, obviously you don't get your own domain since that costs money, you can only get subdomain
