On march 7th google has updated with "fred". will it have any influence on the websites like page ranking

Apparently pages are dancing all over the place. Some are dropping slightly, some disappearing and some reappearing after being off the radar for a while

Google Fred is just them tweaking Penguin and not wanting to tell you every time they do it. It's not real - that's my opinion at least.

It will take some time to settle down as the update gets rolled out on all their data centers. Probably the reason why we're seeing quite a lot of dancing around in last 48 hours.
