Does EDU Scholarship Links have effect?

Why I'm asking this!
I see several offers here which even offer promotion on pharma websites on scholarship links which for me is insane.
The outreach process is very expensive 10 links must pay 200$ and up.
Process is damn simple
Premade Offer for Scholar templates which must be put on your website under website.com/scholarship
and start sending email to EDU institutions to accept your link.
This is basics.
But now tricky question is that they have value.
I would like to see some answers from memebrs which ordered such service from last year even better from 2016 if links stayed.
So basically
-How much does these links stays on the edu websites
-How much help to rank in mid and hard competitions
-Are money spend for them worth for it.
Add something by self if you think is important to know more about this.

I only buy EDU links, haven't tried getting it myself before.
But from observation and following Google SERP, EDU links took a big hit in the last google update.

Am steering clear of it for the main time.

Ordered some of those, can't say I saw any noticeable improvement but I did do a lot of other link building in the meantime as well. What i can say though is they are not permanent, links will be there until the end date of the scholarship at which time they will probably get removed, results might differ depending on niche though...

Good or Bad?

Dont know about others but I can confirm from my own experience edu scholarship links got hit....Big time! One of my site had 10 scholarship links & link dropped out of nowhere last month & as soon as I remove the links rank started improving again.

Many experts are saying .Edu scholarship links become toxic. But I can see several websites working on amazon affiliate are still on first page with 5-6 .Edu links. I think many got hits and many are still enjoying the money by giving scholarship to students lol
