Hi there,

This is Abaid. I’ve recently started a business as an outsourcer. I have a team of skilled professionals, including a UI/UX designer, web developer, backend developer, and more. However, I haven’t been able to get even one client in the past two months.

I want to know if there’s real potential in this business model. I haven’t started marketing yet, but I’m currently looking for clients on freelancing platforms like Upwork and exploring opportunities here on the forum as well. I’ve heard that some people manage to get freelance work from this community.

I’d really appreciate any advice or tips on how to grow, especially now that I have a full team ready to take on projects.

Thank you!

Having a team of skilled professionals to outsorce tasks can be profitable, it will depends on how much you are paying them and how much your clients are paying you, the basic idea is promising, the profit margins can be enough or not, but this arbitrage is a smart business model

Building a great team is the best thing you can do to start out on the right foot. The most important thing that is missing right now is visibility. Don't simply use freelancing sites. Show off your team's work by making case studies, sample projects, or a simple portfolio website. Pick one expertise where your team can stand out and make oneself known as experts instead of generalists. Consistent outreach and relationship development (via LinkedIn, communities, and direct pitches) will pay dividends. It doesn't have to be huge to be good marketing; it just has to be smart.

Totally has potential, but you gotta hustle hard. Upwork’s crowded, so you’ll need a standout profile and killer pitch to get noticed. Start by building a portfolio and offering smaller gigs to get reviews

Outsourcing can still work well when you show proof of quality build credibility through smaller projects and steady communication before scaling to larger clients

Of course such business has potential. You just need to find a way to get clients. Of course it's easier said than done, but that's the nature of this business. You need to find ways to sell your services.

There's no way out about getting clients other than by showing up on platforms where people are already looking for this service.
Alternatively, you could use ads to funnel those requests.
