So, do you think writing a blog has become less productive in 2020?

Vlog > Blog

No. I prefer blogs because I can read much faster than I can watch. I'm not the only one with this opinion.

Blogs will exist forever. However, they will get less popular over time.
 
Not at all. As much as I hate to say it, a video can never replace a good piece of text.

You forgot another option in your poll: both. You get the best of both worlds (*hannah Montana playing in the background*)

I dont think that blogs can never become outdated.

Both of them cater to different type of audiences and different needs.

Sometimes, a person would want to watch a video to understand it better. Sometimes, they would prefer reading.

Also, It is easier for search engines to read the text in a blog and index it compared to a vlog (unless the video has been transcribed).

Both of these strategies complement each other. The best thing to do is combine both the strategies for your website so that you can target a wider audience.
 
vlog and blogs will only get bigger as time goes on.

as the young generation get older the more vlog and blogs will get used.

video blogging will become number 1 I recon
 
Texts are more informative, and give readers a second to think about the different sides of points, thus make readers more logical and rational, while videos seam more inflammatory and demagogic.
 
Blogs will be popular for many years to come.
 
Right from ancient days to the future, the Text content is the King and stable.
 
A lot of people have problems reading and prefer to watch/listen to content so I think long term motion content is going to be more important than written content.
 
I think blogs will not be outdated.. in fact blogs are getting more popular nowadays.
 
Ok, if blogs are not outdated and still holds #1 then why people are switching to new trends like the Podcasts?

Blogs will not go anywhere in the years to come. People always love the written contents, where they can come back and read as and when needed. My vote for Blogs.

You can also watch and listen to it faster. Youtube, for example, has a playback speed: 1.25; 1.5;1.75;2
 
As already stated above, I can also read much faster than watch videos, that's why for those video-courses that are shared in here often, I have zero interest. If it's PDF, then we're talking. So, blogs will live. Don't know why that's a question, even.
 
Blogs will never disappear, but video will take the lead.
 
Blogs are here to stay, specially when you are looking for a specific answer. You won't watch 10 min... video for a quick answer you are looking for.
