I miss how simple life was then, took it for granted, as most do at that age. Tons of great memories though, thanks to my father who gave me a life most could only dream of.
I completely agree. When we were living those moments, we took them for granted. Now, I wish I could relive just one of those days, even if only for a moment.
I miss school a lot.
Me too. To be honest, I miss my school days more than my college days.
Yeah. As a kid you have no responsibilities and you are just basically enjoying life. That's what I did as well. As soon as you get out of school, you are faced with things that even school can't prepare you for.
I think everyone has heard the phrase from their parents that they should "enjoy their childhood". And no kid understood this. I thought life would be "better" when you are actually older, and in some ways it is. But it certainly isn't easier.
So yeah.. i miss it.
My father has always been tough on me, constantly pushing me to study hard. Maybe it was because my elder brother was a scholar. I have never seen a genius like him. Every exam he ever took, from school to college to his job, he always secured the top position.
Perhaps my father wanted me to be like him, but of course, I wasn’t.
As a child, I used to hate it. But now, after growing up, I finally understand what he meant back then.
On the other hand, my mother always gave me a free hand. She never scolded me in public, though in private, that was a different story.
Now that I have completed both school and college, I just wish I could relive those days, even if just for one more day.
I am thinking of reaching out to my school authorities to organize an alumni day. A day where all the pass-outs can return to school, spend time together, eat together, and play together. Let’s see how it goes.
I feel you.
I hated being a kid. I love being an adult, even with all the stress because I can make my own decisions and can control my life. As I get older I get smarter. Can't wait for what the future brings. But yeah, generally I had very traumatic childhood. And also I had responsibilities actually... I started working early. And my father actually sued me to pay *him* alimonies. Judge was so pissed.
I hated school... Other kids were doing my homework, I was working after school and didn't have time lol.
I'm so happy that you are finally living the life you always wanted on your own terms. I wish you all the very best in life.
But if you don't mind me asking, what did you mean by "my father actually sued me to pay
him alimony"? How does that even work?
If this brings back any bad memories, please feel free to ignore this.
I do so much these days…

It’s been almost seven years since I was in school, and I really miss those times. Life felt so much simpler back then, with fewer worries.
It feels simple now, but back then, we never realized its importance. I guess that is life. We keep thinking about the past and the future but forget to live in the present.
I deeply miss my college days
What do you miss about your collage? Friends? or Anything specific?
I had a wonderful childhood and lived all over the country. I practically lived with my family for most of my life, and I loved it. I wish I could relive the school days and live with my family like a kid once again.
I am thinking of reaching out to my school authorities to organize an alumni day. A day where all the pass-outs can return to school for 1 day. You could try doing the same for your school or college. If you get enough of your batchmates on board, you might actually make it work.
Ah! The best time of my life was at school. That was a different joy, i really miss my school days alot.
I miss my school days more than my college days. Is it the same for you?
While studying in School times, I thought to complete schoolings i.e 12th std Sooner.. then joined college..
While studying in college, I thought to complete the college days.. i.e 4th year sooner... Then ..
After completing both school days & college day's..
Missing those Golden days.. it never comes back!
But, I visit school annual day function, college symposium functions once in a year or two..
We can recollect those sweet lovable memories
That’s great! You get to meet your old friends through those reunions.
In my case, most of my friends don’t attend the annual functions. I am trying to create a group, hoping that it might bring us all closer together again.
You got me feeling so nostalgic with this post...
I miss the magic of the good old days
What do you miss the most, school or college?
