Well, I do. :)

Those were the best days of my life, no real stress (except for exams, of course  ). I was good at sports, so I used to eagerly wait for the sports period in school and spent hours practicing for tournaments in college.

It feels unreal how life changes. One day you are on top of the world, everyone in school or college knows you. And then graduation happens. Suddenly, you step into the real world, where no one actually cares.

How do YOU feel about this?

I miss how simple life was then, took it for granted, as most do at that age. Tons of great memories though, thanks to my father who gave me a life most could only dream of.

Yeah. As a kid you have no responsibilities and you are just basically enjoying life. That's what I did as well. As soon as you get out of school, you are faced with things that even school can't prepare you for.

I think everyone has heard the phrase from their parents that they should "enjoy their childhood". And no kid understood this. I thought life would be "better" when you are actually older, and in some ways it is. But it certainly isn't easier.

So yeah.. i miss it.

I hated being a kid. I love being an adult, even with all the stress because I can make my own decisions and can control my life. As I get older I get smarter. Can't wait for what the future brings. But yeah, generally I had very traumatic childhood. And also I had responsibilities actually... I started working early. And my father actually sued me to pay *him* alimonies. Judge was so pissed.

I hated school... Other kids were doing my homework, I was working after school and didn't have time lol.

I do so much these days…:( It’s been almost seven years since I was in school, and I really miss those times. Life felt so much simpler back then, with fewer worries.

I had a wonderful childhood and lived all over the country. I practically lived with my family for most of my life, and I loved it. I wish I could relive the school days and live with my family like a kid once again. :)

Ah! The best time of my life was at school. That was a different joy, i really miss my school days alot.

I completely agree. When we were living those moments, we took them for granted. Now, I wish I could relive just one of those days, even if only for a moment.

I miss school a lot. :(
Me too. To be honest, I miss my school days more than my college days.

My father has always been tough on me, constantly pushing me to study hard. Maybe it was because my elder brother was a scholar. I have never seen a genius like him. Every exam he ever took, from school to college to his job, he always secured the top position.

Perhaps my father wanted me to be like him, but of course, I wasn’t.

As a child, I used to hate it. But now, after growing up, I finally understand what he meant back then.

On the other hand, my mother always gave me a free hand. She never scolded me in public, though in private, that was a different story.

Now that I have completed both school and college, I just wish I could relive those days, even if just for one more day.

I am thinking of reaching out to my school authorities to organize an alumni day. A day where all the pass-outs can return to school, spend time together, eat together, and play together. Let’s see how it goes.

Yes miss those days alot
I feel you.

I'm so happy that you are finally living the life you always wanted on your own terms. I wish you all the very best in life. :)

But if you don't mind me asking, what did you mean by "my father actually sued me to pay him alimony"? How does that even work?

If this brings back any bad memories, please feel free to ignore this.

It feels simple now, but back then, we never realized its importance. I guess that is life. We keep thinking about the past and the future but forget to live in the present.

I deeply miss my college days
What do you miss about your collage? Friends? or Anything specific?

That’s great! You get to meet your old friends through those reunions.

In my case, most of my friends don’t attend the annual functions. I am trying to create a group, hoping that it might bring us all closer together again.

You got me feeling so nostalgic with this post...

I miss the magic of the good old days

What do you miss the most, school or college?

@RK How does it work? It doesn't, it's illegal xD. Judge got so pissed. He thought that I turned 18 and that's youngest age you can sue for alimonies (because technically an adult) but I was 17 still (in 2007) and the judge was like 'you don't even know your daughter's age????', she was so angry. Some legal drama after that and he got deprivation of parental authority, this basically means that by law he's not my family anymore and I have no ties to him.

I don’t miss school because I didn’t really enjoy it. There were some really fun times but generally I struggled to fit in with my peers and I didn’t enjoy the work either, so it wasn’t good experience for me.

Luckily my kids love their school and they have great friends and really enjoy their work which makes me extremely happy and proud.

Life isn't same for everyone, it's totally depends on the parents.

I voted "school" because I included high school in there, which was the most beautiful part of my life. But the other types of schools I never liked, I was always bullied in elementary and general schools, and not just this, but I've been ridden with mild (but annoying) illnesses too: I sweat a lot even without doing anything, I get tired fast, I've suffered from weak joints and anaemia since I was 10, I've been wearing glasses since I was 8, in the last 15 years I've been suffering from allergies and asthmatic bronchitis, and god-knows-what else.

Again, not big, dangerous conditions, but when there's so many of them, all manifesting at once, there's not a single month in the year in which I'm not at some sort of deficiency or disadvantage when compared to most people, which is why I can't keep a normal job either, which sucks...

The point I'm trying to make is that - even though I did manage to cope with, and manage these things to some extent over the years - when I was in elementary and general school these things were very prevalent. And when taken along with the constant bullying (also with the fact that I've always had very strict teachers most of the time, so didn't make me job easier either) ... well... you can see why I never liked school :p

But yeah, the high school had been different. I've had such great teammates, I literally got along with absolutely all of the other 33 pupils that were in my class, boys and girls, it's like we were siblings or something.

And college (well, both of them as I've graduated from 2 colleges) have been boring and cold, and they've also not been my thing as I've never been good at indoctrination (which is what school had always been in the last few decades)

Anyway, I voted school, but that's because there was no high school option. Also, funny how no one voted college :D

I miss the time where i was truly free, i miss the time with my friends. Not the school or college.

Well, I was always an outsider in the last school I attended. The place was beautiful but very far away from where I live now. Plus, I miss spending time with my family more than my batchmates. :D

P.S. My ex from school also got married, so there's all the more reason not to go there. :P
