Do i need to create backlinks to homepage or inner-pages?

Hello,

So, my question is simple and straight. Do i need to create backlinks to homepage or inner-pages.

As for now, i am creating links to inner-pages which has helped rankings a lot.

Right now, I have a multi-page Tech How to site sitting at DA of 50 for homepage and PA of 12. Inner pages have higher PA like 30+

What can be best option?

Why not ask for premium tools like Semrush and Ahrefs? Plenty of members here will be happy to email you their ID and password.

You should link to both your homepage and your inner pages, and make it look natural.
 
Like Writerly said, having links to both your main and your internal pages will give your site a more "natural" feel to Google. Think of it like this, if you've ever shared a product on Amazon or an article with a friend, did you send them a link to Amazon and say "search for this cool product" or did you send a link to the product?
 
I have a website in the niche of nulled plugins and themes, I blasted the homepage only with links and all my inner pages ranking significantly for over 1000 keyword + the categories itself ranking for the selected keywords. The idea of building links to various pages of your website to look as natural as possible, to accelerate the process.

The traffic will roll-in by default, that's the final insight.
 
You should build links to both homepage as well as inner pages.
Don't ignore internal linking of inner pages.

I would start with the home page initially and then gradually move to my inner pages and I always ensure that my homepage holds the maximum no. of backlinks than the inner page. But it looks like you're doing the other way around and still getting good results.

Yes i am doing the other way i never build any links to homepage. My sites inner pages all are already ranking for tons of keywords. Can anyone tell me which links to build on homepage? Should i go for pbns or authority sites links on homepage or innerpages?

When building links to homepages what should be the anchors? Naked or branded?

I go with more generic kw's there and some time I target something like homepage + inner page kw's.
 
I would say focus on both. Rather than building lunks for either homepage or inner pages. Try improving both. It provides impressive results.

Build both naked and branded anchors to homepage.
 
Both is the way to go.
Much more natural too.
