Do Google rank websites with translated contents?

Like the title says..
I'm copying contents from non English websites with translation. I edited them to make them more readable but I don't know if it will affect my site in terms of SEO.

Yes! They rank if they are unique(in the translated language) and good quality. Run them through Copyscape though, not the free plagiarism checkers because they're not reliable.
 
It won't affect you, people do this all the time.
 
I'll let you into a little secret. Get yourself a Medium account and use the translated content for parasites articles. Choose easy to rank KWs and you'll normally rank within a few days. You can often do this without any additional SEO.

I saw copied and translated content ranking in multiple SERPs before, dunno if google algo as good as it's shown here :|
 
Difficult to rank in English. Had 3 expired domains, translated almost 15k articles from Norwegian to English, dumped them to those domains (5k each), they got indexed but not ranked. English google is difficult to cheat. Go for German, French or Spanish.
