Do $1/hour virtual assistants still exsist?

They exist if you look hard enough, I pay all my VA's big bonuses on top of a good wage for a VA.

I am also looking for inexpensive help, but 1$/hour is exploitation.
Where can i find reliable help for a appropriate price?

I'm looking for an SEO Pro for a german Site. Do you think a english speaking guy from india or bangladesh without german skills can help me at all?

in asian countries you can get a job done by $3/day (10 hours)
consultancy(or small farms) taking half of it, so you can calculate actual labour wage is $1.5 per 10 hour

but that could not bring you satisfaction, and labour are damn slow, since they dont know what they are doing
if its a copy - paste or click or minimum coding job then ok, other wise go for a Pro (for $5/hr minimum)

I am writing this , because in Internet there is no minimum or maximum wages!

$1 isn't terrible if the cost of living is substantially lower than here - it's all relative, it's why banks and huge corporations send all of their offices overseas.

In some countries qualified nurses only earn $37.50 per week for a 40 hour week, so someone getting to work at home as a VA for the same money isn't that bad.

We think $1 per hour is bad because over here it wouldn't be possible to live off it, $40 per week wouldn't even cover a cup of coffee and a sticky bun a day at Starbucks.

Elsewhere in the world $40 would pay for food, rent, electric, gas, water, and everything else.
