Djabra's Youtube & Amazon Affiliate Journey

It won't matter with a few hundred but if you start scaling be careful with the crawler traffic. I was sending thousands of spiders a day through Amazon links and they definitely noticed. They won't ban you for it but it might cause them to check your traffic source.

On a similar project at the moment though I'm doing CPA instead of Amazon. Running some accounts hooked up to an SMM API and others just posting videos to see if it's worth buying metrics.

Good luck!

Hello mate,
Thank you for the advice.
Any idea how to overcome the crawler issues? I think it's possible to distinguish between real and crawler traffic and redirect the crawler to another site. Any idea how to do this?

Anyway,
I'm interested in what you do with CPA + Youtube.
Do you do Direct Offer or do you have something incentive like "Gam Hack" niche?

It's not an issue with those numbers but if you start scaling then you'd either have to split it between more affiliate accounts or use a lander in between so Amazon doesn't get constant spider traffic through your links. I don't know what kind of videos you're making but I'm going to hazard a guess and say you should be doing that anyway because Amazon will ban you without paying out.

As for distinguishing it doesn't really matter in this case. I don't bother looking through much of my Amazon metrics but if you start to really scale it the crazy spider traffic can draw attention to your account.

Similar to what you're doing but on a large scale and with niche offers rather than Amazon links. That isn't to say Amazon doesn't work (though I would suggest using a lander) I'm just trying something a little different.

Alright,
Thank you for the advice. I will consider using a lander.
I'm using Slideshow type of video and my first milestone is 1000 videos.
Let's see how it goes. :)

I have questions regarding what you do on CPA. Can I PM you?

Sounds good. I really would suggest a lander. It'll decrease your clicks of course but you'll find the presell increases the EPC which helps balance it out - and there's a lot better chance you actually get a payout. Which is nice.

Sure. I can't give away much but PM away.

just a quick question bro ! did u upload the same video x100 or they are different?

Yesterday:

Video Online: 432
Clicks: 233
Order: 0

Yesterday I uploaded around 100 videos. I got a massive click, 233. But it is strange,
On Bit.ly I received 60 Clicks. 48 "SMS, Email, Direct" and 12 Youtube.

I think the massive clicks came from the crawler. Since I uploaded like 100+ videos.
That is normal when you upload videos you will receive a spike in bot traffic because your content is been indexed to the search engines, but it will drop back down.

Once you contact amazon affiliate customer care and ask them to verify whether your traffic meets their TOS.

Would Youtube still punish me if I'd add a link to my own webstore, instead of Amazon products?

Right now I have a site that scrapes Amazon product. I mightchange the URL on the video description to the product page on my site.
But it seems to be a bit hassle because I need to change the Bit,ly link one by one.

Each video that I uploaded is different from each other.

Yes,
I was expecting that.
Thank you for reminding! :)

Yes,
I have anticipated it.
I have a plan for that.

It depends,
In my case, I put my web URL (Shortened with Bit.ly) on the description.
Some video got deleted some video stay. So play quantity.

How many strikes you have against your account

How many strikes you have against your account

A lot :D
But it's not a problem since I spread all the video int many accounts.
1 Account for 5-10 videos. Usually, 10-20% of the uploaded videos were taken down. Depending on the niche

Your method is pretty smart, what about video thumbnails? Does your bot create them or you leave default thumbnail?

I don't do anything about Thumbnail.
So the thumbnail depends on youtube choice :D

The problem with doing a landing page is.. he can't generate 100s or 1000s of review articles - well he COULD but Amazon is pretty anal with the quality of review sites. ATM I am afraid the OP is just playing a game of "how long can I keep on going until I get banned".

My plan,
I have an "Amazon Store" website and I will point the traffic to here (Each product).
Moreover, I will write/order some review (or Related) articles to be put on the website.

Yesterday:

Video Online: 520
Clicks: 100+
Order: 0

I would expect keep getting high clicks since I upload a bunch of videos every day.

Thank you!
Never give up ;)

The only problem in this journey, I burn a lot of accounts and it costs a lot of $

Yesterday:

Video Online: 590
Clicks: 120+
Sales: 1 (Yay!)

Now, I will try to use Landing Page before directing the user to Amazon. I think it helps to filter the Bot/Crawler clicks.

Maybe change your strategy?
Do you put the link to all videos?

Yes, I put the link on the video description.
I was thinking to put the link on the video, but I think people would be lazy to type it manually.
