Djabra's Youtube & Amazon Affiliate Journey

Yesterday:

Videos Online: 318
Clicks: 29
Sales: 0

I saw on the Bit.ly statistics, I received a lot of clicks from "Email, SMS, Redirect" any idea what is it?
I read some articles it means Dark Traffic from a source that has no referrer. But I don't know where are they coming from since I only promote it on Youtube.

Other weird thing,
On Bit.ly I received like 12 clicks, on Amazon I received 29 clicks. Doesn't make sense :(

Update

Got 2 orders from Yesterday.
It seems Orders are updated a bit late than Clicks.

The funny thing,
The 2 orders are not the things that I promote. :\

I will try to promote a cheaper product on the next video batch.

I don't want to be a party pooper, but amazon will most likely shut you down. Why don't you do it niche by niche? I assume you're stealing and reuploading videos or just mass generating spam videos. Filter the traffic to your website which has an article then let persons click through to amazon. If not, once amazon reviews your source and cannot see how the sales are referred you're gonna get axed. Good luck with your journey though

Yes, I'm aware of that. Thank you for reminding.
At the moment, I'm not directly direct the traffic to Amazon. Youtube -> My Redirect Domain -> Amazon.
I do also plan to make articles on the redirect domain.

At the moment I'm doing 1 niche tho.
Anyway, any reason why to do it niche by niche? To avoid suspicion getting order for different niche products?

The reason I said niche by niche is so that you can just write 1 article say for example "Top 10 Coffee Makers" you can then point all your videos to that 1 article. This way, when you refer sales and amazon comes to review, it looks better than them seeing nothing and you are much more likely to get through.

If you do multiple niches then you'd have to write multiple different articles and that would just be a whole lot of work.

Having orders of products you didn't promote is normal for Amazon.

Yes that is my Plan.
I don't mind writing few articles in different niche :)

Thank you! :)

Glad to hear that,
But I'm still confused why I got less click on Bit.ly and it says "Email, SMS, Direct Link" on Bit.ly

you can share what is this bot? pm

I create the bot myself.
I'm sorry, I can't share it for now.

But, you can use Video Spin Blaster to help the video creation process.

Sometimes bots crawl videos on Youtube to collect content to their automated websites including the affiliate links in the video description.

I see,
Thank you for the info!

Yesterday

Lets see Tomorrow! :)

yo, congrats on starting this journey all the best.

Maybe I missed it, but can you clarify - is your strategy simply to "spray and pray"? basically throw as many videos up and hope it drives traffic somehow? or are you taking a more direct approach such as:
(a) trying to rank your youtube videos on google for longtail keywords
or
(b) doing keyword research on youtube keywords and trying to rank your videos up on youtube?

Just trying to pick your brain ;)

Exactly, Spray and Pray, or I would say Set and Forget.
Scrape the Product, Create a Video and Upload it. Do this as much as I can :D

Nor the a and b. :p

Yesterday:

Video Online: 432
Clicks: 233
Order: 0

Yesterday I uploaded around 100 videos. I got a massive click, 233. But it is strange,
On Bit.ly I received 60 Clicks. 48 "SMS, Email, Direct" and 12 Youtube.

I think the massive clicks came from the crawler. Since I uploaded like 100+ videos.

It won't matter with a few hundred but if you start scaling be careful with the crawler traffic. I was sending thousands of spiders a day through Amazon links and they definitely noticed. They won't ban you for it but it might cause them to check your traffic source.

On a similar project at the moment though I'm doing CPA instead of Amazon. Running some accounts hooked up to an SMM API and others just posting videos to see if it's worth buying metrics.

Good luck!
