Different Ad Rates for same video

Hey everybodeh,

We have a channel with 214k subscribers in the compilation/top 10/viral niche.
Recently we started a new channel with 100% a specific type of compilation we sometimes upload on our main channel.

Thing is, we get loooooooooooads of more revenue on this new channel with only a few 100 subscribers.
On our main channel a compilation video of this typ gives us on average 1$ per 1000 views.
On the new channel the LOWEST we have is 2$ per 1000 views with videos that have as much as 4$ per 1000 views!

All videos have the same ad settings, same mid-roll ads in the same spots. Why do the videos on our new channel get this much revenue and not our big one? Ever since we started the channel 1 year ago we have not had a single video with this high CPM but on the new channel we had it from the first video.

One thing to notice is the new channel is since before partnered with a netword (Union For Gamers)
Is having a network really such a huge increase in revenue? Always been against having a network as we feel they just take a part of the cake (10% for Union) but if we get atleast twice the money I'd happily pay 10%.

Checked stats on the videos and apparently the new channel gets LOADS of more Skippable Video Ads (Auction) compared to Display Ads (Auction) compared to our old channel.

Old channel: 1 million skippable/4 million display
New channel: 50k skippable/33k display

So obviously we get the wrong type of ads on our old channel?
Also the ads we do get are higher on the new channel (between 25-50% higher for same kind of ads)

This is all very confusing and feels like a big bummer to be losing out on huge amounts of money just because they serve us crappy ads.

Does anyone have any ideas? Join a network? Cry to Youtube? (Always works)

Advertisers choose niche so if the channels are in a different niche they will get different rates.

Both are in the "Entertainment" niche, how specific do they get and how do they know what niche my channel is?
We upload the exact same videos to our main channel just some other videos in between aswell. Never had a video of that kind close to the CPM we get for the new one.

well because the network and specially some networks have a gooc cpm, but basically the network have for 100% sure more high CPM, soo if you want a good money the network are good for u. for my result on adsense i have ike 3-3,50$ CPM, but on the network channel have like 6--7$ (now go down for 4,50 but are more good than 3$)

but i know union for gamers are only for gammers partner (i know the contract you must make 90% of your video on related to videogames) i don't for some years something chance becaue union for gamers are good for cpm, soo now did they accept too normal channel?

Why would anyone not want a network if the always pay higher? Heard mostly bad about MCN and that you're better off alone but now I'm uncertain.
They do only take gamers but it's my old gaming channel we remade into a compilation channel so might have to switch from it haha

yes, some mcn have good cpm, some have a sht com (example freedom) soo as your experience see what are good or no ;D btw yeah woudl be a good strategy (i think and want try it to) but this network are very stricky, i mean when i botted views with bad proxy (some years ago are really newbie about this) after 2-3 months they delete my partner, soo i guess if they see this fact maybe after some months can lelave your partner, soo if there are any update tell us or send me a pm ok? .D
