Did Google Change the way you can check how many pages are indexed on a site?
site:website.com use to return how many pages a site had, and it doesn't seem to be working over the past few weeks very well. It's showing very low results to a bunch of sites I have. But in GWT, it shows all the pages indexed.

How am I going to spy now?

It works for me. Maybe the site you checked is not indexed by google...

haha... I don't think so. My site has only 2 million pages indexed.

Now I'm not saying it doesn't show the pages, what I'm saying is its only showing a fraction of what there really is.

I don't think there is any changed on google BUT you have changed that yourself.

Its working absolutely fine for me. OR YOU WANTED TO WASTE 30 SEC of Each BHW MEMBER?

Yeah I didn't think it was just me.

But maybe it has something to do with large number pages?
Most of my sites are 25k up to 7 million pages.

as per my experience the method is good for showing how many pages are indexed by google otherwise you can use tools

same here even scrapebox started giving less result while doing custom search using site: tag :(

What do you use? site:www OR site:siteAddress ? There's a big difference when you use www OR without www .
