Well...
Unlisted by default settings, uploaded 1 video made by myself, everything fine. Sent 3k HR views, after 10~11 hours switched to public video.
The channel is set up fine, typed varius keywords, channel description, even images and link on cover, plus email.
The video description is ok with SEO, even the keywords.
6~7 hours passed from when i switched to public.
Zero ranks gained... nothing.

Why?

The first videos in search of various keywords have 100 views only.. someone have 1k, max 2k views. They are even shitty videos.

Do i still need to wait more hours? ...

Did you check your niche and see if you beat them in ranking ?

Some KWs are just not meant to go for!

Yeah, mine also same , my channel have 25k view before public, now still cannot search my video on youtube.

I thought I was a big baller going for a very popular niche lol at least it's cheap to test this stuff compared to an offline business :D
I'll go for something more random and uncommon to just dominate for my next attempt. But my video has not ranked, I have had to use other methods to drive traffic to it
I'll do it again a little different for this next niche and let you guys know the results.

to rank maybe send 50k views, after 20k views change from unlisted to public, maybe this work.
 
Unfortunaly i think it dont work anymore. I test it on a 1 years old account (op said he use new) i made a good vid similar op one, 1:33 length let it stay unlisted for 1 days and during this time i've sent views likes (also some dislike) some shares, ive also made 7 comments. Today i set it to public and just nothing, my video seems just vanished, it didnt rank in any keywords and i use a very unsaturated low competition niche.

You have to wait 3 days to a week to index the video.You should still keep sending views even if you switch unlisted to public or your rankings will drop.

Yeah but op said he usually rank immediately after put it public.. instead even if i search my title on youtube i cant find it :|

i think he is right about waiting for a week and keep sending. do it like this 5k immediately then drip-feeding another 5k for a week.
it will act like normal vid huge views at first then a consistent number. don't forget the op method was a year and a half ago. so algorithm changed alot in this time

You are right about the unlisted method it was easier back then,you didn't need as much views to hit page 1 for a competitive keyword and the ROI was very high.
 
Okay but now do you think i can do on the same vid? i mean i can set it again on unlisted and then after a week change it or its better if i try with a new account and new vid? thanks for your answer
 
Same problem. High search volume, low competition keywords. 5k views, 1k likes, 200 shares.... nothing. Can't even find the video. Old videos with ~500 views are above mine.
 
I just see some guys that just rank sending like 1000 views and just some likes, no backlinks no share no social signals, nothing but them got rank in like 1-2 hours on #1-2 position :| i dont understand
 
because now google is more severe and make more accurate check on the youtube video, everytime decrease the view or the real view... so it's happen and you cannot do nothing
 
Basically your saying that is more difficult to rank?
And so how can you explain people tha rank with just views and like?
