Not sure if this is in right section.. but my question is simple. Has anyone tried to create a few autoblogs and have them link back to your moneysite? (I've searched the forum but haven't found anything about this) Has this worked?

I'm not talking about creating a blog where every article links back to your site.. but create a blog on the general topic and have it "sponsored" by my money site..

ex. create a "tech" blog and on the bottom have a few permanent navigation links with anchor text for my keywords like "tech widgets" going back to moneysite... the links would show up on every page of the site since it would be navigation but wouldn't look like blatant spam..

ideas? opinions? Has someone tried this?

You did not mention if you are going to spin the content before posting. But if the content is just rawly posted from the source then every outbound link is devalued.

thanks junkfood..

I have not used autoblogs yet but from what I read, spinning very often produces garbage/unreadable content. I am ok with re-posting from other content sources as long as it is legal content that is pertinent to my niche.. I want the blogs to still look quality..

Since I'm not planning to put my backlinks in the articles then I'm not sure that the devaluation of links would still be an issue.. Right? Any other thoughts?

Also, if someone has done this successfully would you mind sharing an example of your setup? (publicly or privately)

If the content is all duplicate, those links would probably do more harm than good.

You can manually spin your content at the sentence level (or pay someone else a couple bucks to do it) and it is very readable.

If you aren't going to create backlinks into your blogs though, your blogs backlinks won't be worth much even if the content is spun.

If you're only using them for link juice, then who cares if the content is readable as long as google sees it as unique, and you have your anchor text links pointing at your money site. Spam the jesus out of it, and you have yourself a keyword rich link funnel going back to your money site.

Isn't auto blog means auto-update ? So if u creat a blog and update them with your own spined content..then it wouldn't be auto isn't it ? Or you mean iautoblog type ? Search autoblog, you should see some case studies :)

.......... autoblog means all the content is AUTOmatically generated... please chime in if you have something to contribute

did once, now the site is bouncing in the serp. This week its in top 10, then a week after that its gone, then back again.

I created it using 2 autoblogs. 1 is a .info and the other is with a .edu.pl

I wouldn't have it going to your money site, set it up to link to some of your better quality backlinks

I'd say avoid it all, you will end up wasting too much time, focus on Web 2.0 backlinking with spun content and posts from high PR blog networks.

I'm not sure I understand what the difference is between regular blogs and other web2.0 properties...a blog is a blog right?

I am inclined to think that the setup with iAutoblogs is not too bad but it requires you to still write and spin content for submission. If I was to set up a regular autoblog then I would have to write no content and have it be completely hands off after the initial set up... that is why it is so appealing..

Again I'm not talking about setting up an autoblog which has every article backlinking to my moneysite...

thoughts?

I don't see the value here vs just using Unique Article Wizard. With Unique Article Wizard you end up getting links from tons of auto blogs, some even have PR, plus you get link diversity with the article directories.

What if you bought similar EMDs of your money site and linked back to it using the emd search phrase? Using spun content, not auto-blogs.

For ex
Moneysite:
productreview.com

Additional EMDs:
Bestproductreview.com -> link to productreview.com w/ anchor "best product review"
Productcoupon.com -> link to productreview.com w/ anchor "product coupon"

Is there a high likely hood of getting deindexed for something like that? Also, would these additional EMDs need to be on separate Ips?

If the content is all duplicate, those links would probably do more harm than good.
