    What's going on BHW?

For the past 2 years, I've been publishing eBooks and whatnot, but got tired of doing it and switched over to making niche websites. My first real foray into creating a niche website is taking an old ebook I wrote (which was also like the 2nd or 3rd book I ever wrote) and turning it into the website.

I've been tracking my journey so far on YouTube, so here's the intro video on the YouTube channel.

I think for the most part I'm going to be doing video replies to major questions.

I started the website midway through January and have been seeing some decent growth every month, completely white hat. I have a spreadsheet of stats as far as traffic and revenue, which I use to track growth and whatnot.

Here're my stats from the start to now.

Not the best, but still good. The actual start date was around January 18th, but I bought traffic from Fiverr and it was all bots. Really skewed my graphs up.

I have a bunch of other videos on the channel and don't know if it would be a great idea to post them all here at once. There is some major progress on there, though.

    Let's make some money.

Ways I'm making money: CPA, PPC, affiliate sales, own product sales
Ways I'm driving traffic: social media, SEO, free books

For those who are curious, here is the sales chart of the ebook I wrote years ago. It went through two revisions, and this most recent version did about $10 this last month selling 6 copies and $4 last month selling 2 copies. The book itself was really short, only about 3,500 words long. It took a few hours to write because it was one of the first I wrote, but has made me around $175 since it's inception as an ebook. Not bad for not knowing what I was doing, and also not bad for leaving it alone and never doing any marketing for it.

Here is the income and traffic stats for the website so far in the past 3 months. Not bad, not good. I know that 500% growth every month wont keep up, but if it did, it would be dope.

    What's going on BHW?

It's the first of the month, so I'm going to do a review of the last months accomplishments and stats and stuff.

    Stats and stuff
    Visitors: 1157 (+376) (+148%)
    Pageviews: 1948 (+676) (+153%)
    Revenue: $64.84 (+$52.38) (+520.40%)

Dang, if I continue to increase the revenue by 500% a month I'll retire by December, but let's be honest. I'm really surprised by the revenue, especially being only the third month and me starting not knowing anything. Maybe someone with a few more websites can tell me in general what's a good place to be after 3 months.

In May, I'm going to be doing reviews. Reviews, reviews, reviews. I have enough pillar posts to drive traffic, now it's time to get them to make purchases.

Here's a video featuring me running my mouth about what I just wrote up.

Thanks, man. I'm really curious if I'm in a good position after three months or am behind the curve a bit.

Nothing new to note really, it's not something I check every day because I'm not in it for the short-term payout. I usually only check site stats once a week otherwise I check all the time.

Hell, I'll probably be checking this thread more than the site stats and various affiliate stats.

If anyone has any questions about what I've done so far I'll be happy to answer.

That's so hard to do, dawg. There are so many factors that go into choosing what kind of niche to get into, it really is a solo kinda thing. There are also different initial wants when choosing a niche, do you go the passion route or improve on a competitors site or do research to find which keywords you can hit easily.

Or go with mattresses. Mattress is a good niche.

Starting a second website based on a suite of books I had commissioned back in December of 2014. They're a lot of business books, but not necessarily entrepreneurial. I have some ideas for how to monetize, just gotta wait a few hours to get started on the website.

I have 9 books I can use from the start, which can probably be broken down into 5-10 blog posts each.

Thanks man. Figure I'll diversify early in case one does better I can focus on that one.

No point trying to milk a dry cow.

So I'm still banging away at this new site, setting up blog posts in advance. Instead of doing a dumping strategy and putting 50 posts all at once, I'm going to do 2/day until I run out then see what sort of progress is made.

If the site is getting decent traffic I have a few ideas for ways to create services and products in addition to affiliates.

Still chugging along with the websites. Slowly earning money with the first website, the second one is coming along.

For the second one, 2/day is working still (whatever that means, it's only been a few days).

    Slow and steady.

My first niche site is doing some great numbers, hitting around 80 uniques a day and 130+ pageviews. Actually went on Skype with a guy in a startup and he's wanting to figure out some advertising.

SNAP. Hopefully we can do some flat rate/month or revshare instead of PPL.
