Although, I think some steps you mentioned can easily be automated without "them" knowing..as of now. A combination of using web2.0 and other high quality resources pointing to your website is always good. Just use proxies and new email accounts and your set.

Do you change your ip address or proxy when creating web 2.0s?

Do you specify the niche that you are in on the web 2.0 domain name or just use a random domain name?

Thank you very much for so much information. I am paranoid about using automated anything. I want to learn the mechanics and go at it manually. I suppose I will take a beating from all the time I will spend.

Maybe my strategy will need to be a little different than typical. Our web site has been on the Internet for about twelve years now. We have a good reputation in the industry (which has little to do with the Internet - except for finding new clients). If there's the tiniest possibility of being punished by the search engines, I really can't risk it. I guess they have me by the short and curly.

But, there are key word phrases we don't show up for and we should. Our competitors have zillions more links than us.

Great post. I like the way you mix whitehat and greyhat methods in order to get results.
This is more like whitehat, but I'm sure this is the way to go these days.

One tool that never mentioned in your threads and it's a great alternative in order to post quick to WEB2.0 properties is iMacros. When you find how this is working, it will save you time for sure. I'm not only talking about the firefox plugin (that is completely free) but for the script edition too, that is free too (thanks to this forum...)

Yes - that's about it.
There are services that will let you send out a few free bookmarks a day, (just google "free bookmarks") others that let you submit your RSS feed free to many of the best aggregators. (bulkping)
If you are skint early in your IM career (and lots of people are) then check these sites out and use them regularly. You can get quite a lot of content indexed free.,

Nice thing about this old thread of mine - is that it all still works.
Nor many things in IM last more than a few months - so that's kinda nice.

OK changes to this post for Mid 2012;

1) DO NOT use Build My Rank (for obvious reason) it was great at the time but closed now of course
2) Youtube DO allow linking (dunno why i wrote they didn't) remember to use the whole "http://" at the front of your URL
3) Do not link your WEB2's too quickly. I'm now pretty certain that some of them count inbound links to new sub sites created and factor the velocity of those into some sort of "deletion" algorithm.

Other than that - it all seems pretty sound

Started building these today.. Did 6 of them within 60 min, about 10 min per site. In that time frame I was able to register, change the themes, add profile photos and albums, add bio/about to every single field, etc. Still haven't added any articles or videos yet but going to let the account age for a day or so before going in. Manually doing these isn't that bad, I think once I figure out how these all work, I could prob setup about 25/hour (without content). Can't wait to start putting content and backlinking these..

What a great read this was! Thanks so much Scritty and other contributors. Today I just started making my first few Web 2.0s, unfortunately I think I miss read something from the main post about "first person rambling" so two of my web 2.0s first posts are about these made up people rambling on about how much they hate/enjoy things in life haha. Oh well I'll add another non linking post to them both tomorrow.

I have two main sites I'm trying to get traffic to, one is in quite a large niche that I'm interested in but I haven't really nailed what keywords to go after yet, the other is a smaller MNS that's also related to the larger niche but only returns something like 1500 global searches monthly, somehow with this one I'm already on page 1 ranked #6 with Google after 3 days and I haven't even made any backlinks for it (that tells me I either got very lucky or there's no money to be made in it).
I don't want to sound lazy because I generally haven't been so far and I'm not afraid of writing, having added 30k words of 100% unique material for the two sites over the past week, but say I wrote an informative article about a type of product on a web 2.0, would it be fine to reword that article and use it on another 2.0? Sorry if this has been answered, I did read the whole thread but because it's so long I can't remember every answer.

Also I'm not sure how I'm going to link to the MNS without it sounding like promotion as it's a quasi-online store with a bunch of Amazon affiliate links. Do I just downplay the selling bit and overstate the review aspect of the site?

Finally, does anyone have a newer ******** web 2.0 list with the PR ranks as the targethut site is gone by the looks of it.
