Content Writing and Beyond

Well you're new around these parts but those of us that have been around for a while have seen members temp banned or perm banned for doing exactly what you've done (and sometimes even less obvious); creating a sales thread outside the BST.

You're on a marketing forum; don't pretend as though you don't know what you've done. You set up the whole first post with your qualifications and experience with a fake scenario of how you're desperate and looking for help while you journey into content writing. What is amusing (not really) was your post on day 7 or 8 where you say you already made thousands writing content completely contradicting your "journey into content writing".

I'm not in the content writing business so I don't give a hoot but clearly recognize when a member is marketing the forum under the guise of a journey thread. Because the Mods haven't taken action on your selling outside the BST, I suppose others will follow your example soon enough.

Carry on mate and thanks for your "generous contribution" to BHW.

I will break this down. You say I am listing my qualifications and how I say I am desperate and am faking a journey "into content writing". Here is the thing I stated from the first post that I have been a content writer ( so I'm not getting into it) and then I also stated that I am making a thread to document how I am trying to make more money from other sources that aren't Fiverr because as any content writer knows it doesn't pay well. You then say in day 7/8 I was talking about how I had thousands of orders in the past, well I scanned through it do not see that (once again maybe I missed it) but I already stated in the first post that I have sold a lot on Fiverr (though gave no exact number), once again the point of this thread is getting liberated and free from being an exclusive Fiverr writer.

You keep attacking my thread and me acting like I have been selling to buyers of this thread. Here's the thing anyone I say was a buyer from BHW has been someone from the "freelance for hire section". Which once again I am allowed to communicate with people on.

Rather than make comments that I will just have valid counter points on, why not ask a mod? Hey actually I'll pm some to take look. I'm not trying to sell anything nor is this some elaborate plan, i recommend to all bhw members to go look at the buy/sales section rather than contacting me.

Have a wonderful day,

GentlemanX :)

Let me remind you

Fiverr has been good to me, I have made a few thousand dollars from there. Worked with elance, not so much Odesk!

I hope your attention to details is much better in your articles.

So your journey is really your journey into blackhat content marketing on BHW. I would think someone that has "made a few thousand dollars" writing content doesn't need a follow my journey into content writing thread. :)

Please do not question my attention to detail or my reading comprehension. You specifically said I had said I made thousands of sales (not dollars). You only need somewhere under 300 sales to make $1000 on Fiverr. I have no issue ending this thread now to save the hassle of bickering however, even mods I've shown this thread to say they wouldn't close it so I'm not sure why you keep trying to paint it in some negative light.

I've sent you a PM GentlemanX, please reply.

Hey sorry I've been a bit busy. I'll get back to your message now.

(for anyone wondering he asked me what my method is and not for me to work for him..)

I've sent you a PM GentlemanX, please reply.
A PM for what? Content writing services?

If you're making sales this could get ugly quick, mods can easily check your PM's as well. I'm actually in the content business, so this doesn't sit right with me.

Just sayin'.

EDIT: It's for a method, nevermind ;).

I don't blame you for jumping your guns but sometimes (like in this case) you'll have people just asking for help on how to do better. For the integrity of others here who have paid for Jvip I can say I will not be selling anything directly from this thread. I do plan to sell here one day but it will be done through the buy/sell/trade forum. I hope that makes other content writers and sellers here feel happy, I really am not trying to compete for any clients (accept for in the freelance for hire)

P.s: Tim hortons addict? I hope it's for their cheese bagels with cream cheese, those are so good!

Regards,

GentlemanX

Small update: With Yahoo Contributors closing I lost a portion of my writing income, I have been scrambling to find alternatives (I still have some other clients but Yahoo was always a nice bonus daily) and have started using Elance heavily. Haven't had the best of luck there but I am going to keep applying till I find something that works. Once I finish Elance, I am going straight to Odesk, after that I'll find other freelance sites and go from there. I am pushing myself to not stand by and take the work by its horns!

I've been writing non stop as of late and I'm on vacation. I'm not sure if this is normal but, at least I'll have some money for my next vacation. P.S the Middle East is really cool.. And hot haha

I just returned recently from a 35+ day vacation. Not only was it a lot of fun, but I returned home to Canada with this new desire to work at my highest level.

On the note of writing I wrote some during my journey, got some large orders, and started a writing team with my cousins in American Universities. We have been doing great so far and I feel less swamped.

In the future I'll try to update this more.

I hope everyone has a great day,

GentleManX

Update: I have been hitting a plateau as of late in sales. I think the biggest thing has become connecting to new clients. Early this summer I was networking mad with people in my city and abroad but since classes have started again it's been a challenge. I'm not sure how to mediate it right now but I will be sitting down with some paper and a pen later this weekend to think of ways to correct it.

On a side note, I have started studying for the MCAT. It's not only an exciting time in my life but also, a little nerve racking.

I have been doing amazon reviews as of late and 3 articles this morning. I am suprised how well some Amazon reviewers pay. To mediate my client issues from my last problem I have been aggressively hitting classified sections and applying when applicable. Seems to be working.

On a more IRL note, I am truly enjoying life and have gained a real appreciation for University as of late :).

It feels like all good things come to an end. I recently had a buyer paying a nice sum well over $700 for a months work. Unfortunately his site got hit by penguin and he is back to regrouping, making me lose a buyer (for the time being). I don't feel defeated or anything, but it is a setback.

Hey GentlemanX. Lots of great information in this journey so far. Best of luck!

I picked up some new clients as of late. Money seems to be coming in constant again! I am amazed with how little I can work compared to my friends working "real" part time jobs and still be making more while in University. It really makes me think that entrepreneurship and starting a business would be a great idea after I finish education.

Great to hear!

Good luck mate. I wish you luck. Cheers!

A little update. Today I had the opportunity to deal with a potential customer who would not quit trying to lowball me. After disclosing my initial price they tried to cut me down to 0.01 cents per word. I refused multiple times and was given multiple reasons on why I should do it:

1. I have no money and if you write it and I make money I can pay more
2. $0.01 a word is a great rate for authority content
3. EpicWriters has the best writers and they charge cheap so you should be able to match them (this is after I rejected multiple times)

I suppose it really made me realize that you can't get every customer and that you need to stand by your values.

hey gentlemax just a suggestion. after you made $90 invest it on buying Jr. VIP then open a sales thread here and you will make more money :)
