So here's an update, I am working on some scientific papers (my own) for a brand new gene I discovered in a crustacean. It's in scientific journal format. Besides doing all this lab work to isolate the gene and writing this paper I am feeling great . Writing has become something of a hobby since science pays more atm but I will use it as secondary income.

Hi GentManX, your story is the exact replica of mine ! I have been a copywriter for many years and a successful service provider over at fiverr. But Fiverr takes a good big cut so I eventually decided to start my own copywriting agency with native writers. Now I am planning on making a move over to elance as well.
Hope your agency and work is going smooth! Always good to network with people of the same background and story. Would love to exchange tips and guidance.

Christmas break started and I have decided to set some hefty writing goals. To get things going I am going to start by going through my skype list and past contacts to see if I can get some old customers back. This break is really important to me to be proactive and not just sit on my butt!

I just started with elance last week. So far managed to score three clients. All of them happy customers. But one of them managed to ruin my rating even though she wanted to give me a perfect score. Set back!

Been off BHW for a few months, but still have been writing when I can for clients. It's been a good start to 2015. I ended up being able to buy a PS4 but after seeing that new macbook I have my new goal in mind. Working levels should be going up significantly now just to meet the goal soon.

So here's an update: While I play the wait and see game with med school I am doing a second degree in computer science. I am also working in a biology lab, and content writing is going slow but hey I am sure it will improve.

I am also going to the gym daily, it's fun .

Hi,

here's an update. I've had some consistent work over the last year with one main client, things have been great, it pays enough for coffee, eating out, and even my PS4. Currently saving my writing money to go on Vacation to Europe. I'm thinking sooner or later I may retire from this writing and just focus mostly on my molecular biology research/continuing a degree in computer programming! In the mean time I'm in a great position!

Some key points, network, be polite, and be able to commit time to your clients .

Hi! Here’s a little update. I started writing exclusively for one client over the last year and a half. With his work slowing down I’m back to networking and using fiverr. I finished my molecular biology degree, now working on a second degree in computer science! With it bein summer I’m going to try to make a lot of money before school starts again!


This week has really been messaging old clients, updating/reactivating my fiverr gig, and just going all out to meet new clients. Hoping to start writing again by next Friday. Keep watch of this post for more updates!
