Content Writer - What Should I expect?

Content is king!

But currently my content writer is just writing content for newsletters and some small blogs and that's all she's doing.

She's really good in writing but she's lazy.

Where to use the good writing skills on internet which drives traffic to my website.

I guess I can only use the skill in seo off page but as I'm new and trying to do lot of other things for my webiste what kind of things I should ask from her which I can use to generate traffic for my website?

-Articles?
-Blogs?
-Press Releases?

That's it?

Anyhthing else?

yeah but only these things the content writer do?
 
if you look more traffic for your blog you can also use google trend keywords, write about it something interesting and publish it

These two are best we get from the quality writer as per my suggestion.

If your writer is so lazy, try to get at least 3 articles per week.
 
Buy customized keywords with lower comp and easier to rank. Create content.
 
First you've got to find a good keyword with low competition as suggested above. Then teach your writer to incorporate those keywords to the blogs he's making by doing an on-page SEO.

1. Whe did you hire your writer and where she's from?
2. How much it cost per articles/blog post or monthly payments? How many words each?

To others, where to find long term writer and suggested keywords research service can you recommend?

There's a lot of good article writers here on BHW. Ranging from $-$$.

As for keywords you've got to research a keyword that's related on your site and with low competition.

Yeah, i always order here before and when i check my previous writer surge the price now. Looking for freelance or agency now.

I'm using other free tools from internet to search but not as deep when I order services like this before here. Last resort will search another service for this job
 
Content generation and traffic generation two different things. Simply formula - Post articles which solve problems and really help your visitor. For trafficgeneration go with some aggressive SEO and social media promotion. If she is good at writing and you got money, be an authority in your niche.

Well said. As I said teach your writer to add-in researched keywords for SEO purposes. That way your hitting two birds with one stone.
 
Focus on blogs. And focus on coming up with authority content. Some people in here may suggest that daily blogging is a good exercise but I recommend focusing on authority posts. If you do that even 1-2 posts a month are awesome.

True. The writer must use transition keywords, in and backlinking to optimize it well

what are the best possible ways to use those articles?
guest posting or something else?
 
Guest post on other sites
Sell the articles for a price
Create good web 2.0 with them
Run your imagination...
 
If she is lazy start searching for more content providers :)
That's the best thing you can do about her :D
