To Mod: not sure if this is the best forum, please move it if needed.

I'm looking for some informative suggestions here for the e-commerce marketing strategy.

I managed to have my competitor's IG followers profile scraped (20K). The spreadsheet has the following columns:

userid, username, full name, follower count, following count, media count, biography, external URL, email, phone, address, category, city name

Key observations:
1. Around 7% have universal identifiers - email or phone number;
2. Some are business accounts;

Now, what's the best way to exploit those data?

I was told that I can either send cold emails or load the valid data to a Facebook ad as the audience.

As far as I know, cold email doesn't work well (I could be wrong! You BHWers know better than me).

If I use the data as my customer list and create a custom audience, so, should I use Look Alike Audience, or use the customer audience itself directly for optimal performance (may goal is conversion, so best ROAS)?

Anyway, I'm looking for advice on exploiting the scraped data.

If you are very good at this, I'm open to collaboration or paid service.

Anyone, please?

Looking for suggestions and buying paid services!

You could filter that 7% you got with emails and sort them by email, then those you find the most interesting over 1k followers, you could try to do an affiliate campaign. Generate a custom coupon so they can get a % of the sales, or just pay them to promote directly. If your market is more local oriented you could try to do some sort of event at a cool place and invite all those people and expose them to your products.

The affiliate campaign part is great.

What about code email or Facebook campaign? Any experience?

Thanks, Pepisel.

Still looking for more help.
I think it would help if you could provide a little bit info on product/service you are providing. is it a business solution? is it a consumer solution? what do all the users who you scraped have in common? how do these users make their purchase decision? what are they influenced by? etc.

Thank you for the input.

We're ecom selling a consumer electronics product. The targeted competitor is the top 1 in this niche with 1M+ followers. We used to target its brand and keywords on Google and Amazon and we did pretty well, thus we believe it's a good move to target it on IG, too.

Our product is completely comparable with theirs, while we have some competing edges, lower price tag and faster shipping time & service.

Please shed some lights.

what is the primary source of information for these consumers to make a purchase decision? for this particular need, do they actually do a search on google as their first option or is it that they make a purchase decision when they see the product on social media platforms?

as you see, I am trying to figure out what kind of consumer segment you are going after? and trying to paint a picture of their attitudes, behavior, values.... segmentation!

I would assume that potential buyers will search on Google and Amazon to check the product reviews before they make a purchase.

Thank you for the reply.

Don't take me wrong, I didn't expect anybody to do "my work", just an open discussion.

The problem I'm facing now is the DTC model requires too many resources and the entire chain has too many moving parts.

Design, R&D, production, inventory, customer service, marketing, etc. I'm looking for collaboration so I can focus on my part and stay light-weighted.

If I were in your shoes, I would market my services to the scraped people via all channels. I'd cold email them, I'd run ads or any means I could provide the information of my services to them. A crazy idea, but it'll work for sure.
