Clicking on my own videos, 2000 times manually. Will it effect the Algorithm?

So for the last 6 months or so I've been manually giving my own unreleased videos thousands of views. I used a combination of a VPN and about 15 dummy accounts to get the job done. However, I've noticed a couple of strange things.

1st: videos that I gave 2000 views PRIOR to making them go public, hardly got ANY attention once I published them.

2nd: videos I gave 2000 views to AFTER I published them did slightly better, in that they got a tiny bit of attention, but not much.

My best video gets about 80 organic views a day (and now stands at nearly 9000 views). On average most of my other videos get between 3 and 20 views a day. Some get occasionally get 30 a day while other videos get as little as 1 view a week.

Do clicking on videos before it is set to public affect the algorithm?

Do any of you use click services? How does it work and do you normally set your videos on public before using that service? I've never used click services as I'm sceptical of how reliable they are.

I think my content is pretty fresh, I have good tags, nice thumbnails, so why am I drawing in so little attention?

PS: I have under 170 subscribers at present.

How did you manage to do 2k views without dropping?

100 clicks a day, for 20 days. Hours and hours of work every damn day.

Lol, youtube may ban you (under what constitutes, 'spam, deceptive practices....), be careful.

You mention hours/days taken to do this.
Maybe better to spend time on different areas like video content, thumbnail, trending topics, title and description etc.
2000 views will not make you go viral.
The unlisted method as it used to be called does not work, you will get small first spike, maybe a few hundred more views.
Then ghosted.
You won't unlock suggested or what you really want which is Browse using this method.
At least as far as my experience has been.

I think this method is safe because it's slow.

I do this so that once I DO share my videos on forums or facebook groups people automatically take my videos more seriously. It has worked in that I can go from my self made 2000, and organically gain another 3000 really quickly because people on forums take the video seriously. But then after the folks on forums or groups have all seen it, it slows down to a trickle again.

What do you mean exactly by ghosted? Is it youtube algorithm making it so people don't see my video and if so, why?

I spend a LOT of time making good content, good thumbnails and everything else. The issue might be that my content is pretty controversial. For example, among other things, I discuss genital mutilation and how it still goes on in Western countries. In another video I interview a male gigolo from texas and talk about his life. These topics are certainly interesting but I fear that Youtube is punishing me for not having family friendly content.

To be clear, I'm not aiming to use Youtube monetisation ever since I don't think the content will ever be suitable for that.

I'd say most people don't spend enough time on the basics normally.
Controversial topics used to do well. Not so much anymore. Regarding your views could be anything from the algo to people not being interested in the content or reporting it.
The truth will be in your analytics regarding the quality of content. Are people watching 75% of the video or do they click off after just 30 seconds of watch time.
I dont know the answers for your YouTube problems.
I do know the method you are using has not worked for me.
It might work for you, but by the sounds of it it has not.

No, it won't.

it wont work i guess. if you change IP each time , then maybe you have a chance . youtube algorithm doesnt allow this.

if you invest that time with neobux even will be better or you ... , Sister that maybe will work with YT in 2007 not nowadays .

I legitimately watch my videos a bunch before uploading. The views never drop but I think there are easier ways to get a lot of views instead of this method. That sounds like a lot of work. Why not spam on 15 accounts to get views that aren't all from you? Just curious.

The views don't drop off. If I don't give myself more than 50 views an hour and I do it carefully, changing IP on my 3 computers all the time, they views stick. But it requires that I stay involved and can't really do other things meanwhile which is why I don't want to do it anymore. Also I fear that this system maybe hurting my likelihood of getting viewed after I publish the video.

Most people won't click on a video that has 20 views. They do however often click on a video that has 2020 views. If I give myself roughly 2000 each time, then after my friends have done click on them I have somewhere under 2100 views. From there on, my video looks more enticing to the general public.

What I want to know is if the method I have been using will hurt my chances of having those specific videos seen once I publish them?

I agree with you but you can get those views for like $2 without all the hassle.
