Checkout page take 3x longer to load than main page.

The load time of my homepage is 1.5sec and the load time of the checkout page ranges from 4.5 - 6sec

I am using woocommerce on wordpress. Anyone came across this and found the cause/fix?

Use a profiler and benchmark. Hit f12 on your browser and look at your request timings. Whatever is taking 5 seconds is where you should start investigating.

Try Autoptimize plugin and see if it makes a difference and check out Google page insights for more info on whats making the page to load that slow.

Google - Google speed test.

Check what is causing the issue.

Download Autoptimize plug in and minify, css , HTML and JS.

Alternatively it might be worth checking what PHP version you use. Try to find that info on the System Status Report Page: https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/understanding-the-woocommerce-system-status-report/

And as a last bit of info: does your complete site run on TLS (aka SSL) or only the checkout page?
