CASE STUDY - Ridiculous 301 Misunderstanding - Lost Link Juice Forever

Two things was the non-dropped domain niche relevant? I’ve heard anchors play a big part

Was the 301 at the page level (.htaccess) or did you just user the domain registrar
It was basically not relevant at all. So, I don't know how the anchor text would have played much role. The 301 was done through .htaccess

Update ----

I did remove the 301 after 3 days. And so far, the rankings of the page where it previously had been has not changed even a bit. And the new page where it had been directed to now has jumped from position 50 to position 11 within 24 hours of placement. It didn't produce any other ranking change after then.

So far, it is looking as though you can use one stone to kill two birds

Thank you for your experiment. Could you add something after 3 months? Any change with the sites involved?
Yes, there was a change. The first page to receive the redirect lost its ranking after one month of removing the redirect and placing to another page. On the other hand, the second page increased in rankings.
