Is it possible to rank #1 with blogger.com on google

Alot of differense between - www.myblog.blogger.com or www.myblog.com

I want to rank in my own language it got less than 800K search results. The first result is a forum..

I have had many blogger blogs rank. I have not tried it in the last year, but I used to do it frequently in the past.

Sure, you can rank for your specific blogger blog link. You simply drive traffic to it and post the blog url as the target source. Nothing different to be done here other than your links changes from your typical site domain to the blogger blog url address.


As for promotion, push it like you do any other site.

YES certainy you can rank with blogger blogs..and if you want some better result you can buy your own domain and host it on blogger
 
You can but Google can (and will) randomly delete your blog when they feel like it.
 
i ve read alot that google like wordpress alot only becuse its seo optimised and also doesnt like blogger as much - cos there are so many of them which are crappy -

you know you can make a blogger auto blog very easily -

with blogger you can have it update via email - now all you have to do is add an email that has updates -( go to your fav RSS feed, now some RSS feed offer to mail you the daily updates, simply subscibe to the RSS with you blogger emal ID.) the kind you get when you sign up for free stuff - this does work check it out

Did anyone get satisfactory results with using blogger?

I'm planning to build up very micro niches on blogger. like 10-20 hits per day for each blog. What do you think about this idea ?
 
its possible but it requires better off-page seo cause the on-page seo with blogger is limited. its worth it to spend $3 on a .info domain name and install wordpress with a plugin like Platinum SEO, which will give you a significant advantage
 
Blogger blogs definitely ranks..."make money online" , is the best example , i tried to rank a couple of blogs , what i can say for sure is if you could find blog address with the exact same url as of the keyword which you are trying to rank for you could easily get high rankings if competition is not very high.

Thank you for replies. I was also thinking to make those blogspots valuable/authorised . And then I'm planning to get baclinks from those blogs to my other websites.

Is it something risky in terms of long term benefits?

In fact, this is extremely valuable idea if it can be done. isn't it ?
 
There's no benefit or drawback as far as ranking is concerned, but if you're going to go blackhat just know that they'll detect it very, very easily and you'll get canned.
 
blogger is a great boost because blogger = google... also blogger blogs are designed to have SEO in mind.
 
It's true that the navigational structure of blogspot is good for SEO as are the templates used. You're not getting any of Googles trust from the domain though because it's a subdomain. For any benefit to pass to the subdomain there would have to be a link from the root domain and even then it would only help to build your blogs own trust, not piggyback on it.
 
Its highly possible to rank in google search via blogger easily than thru domain.com
its my experience. one of my blogger blog is at rank#1 for keyword searched by at least by 1000 people daily.
 
Buy a domain and hosting. They are pretty cheap these days.

You can also do a faboulous refurb in a rented flat. Maybe you'll be able to live there and enjoy the fruits for 10 years. But equally the landlord may show up a week later and say he has to sell the place.

Ranking well takes a significant effort and as you'll soon find, money, to be more effective. On a free plarform all of your efforts will be at the mercy of the platform manager's whim of likes, dislikes and suspicions.

Use free blogs for throwaway domains only.
