Hello everybody,

I currently run an affiliate website, and it currently has over +100 backlinks.

So, working on a new site right now (older than 1 year), I'm wondering if I can start the link building campaign using 50% of the backlinks used in the previous site? Can I do that?

Is it safe to use to get links from the same sites? Can this cause a google penalization?

NOTE: Both sites have been added to Search console, under the same google account.

You cannot use the same sub domain again and again but an other subdomain linked to an domain can be used , without any issue .

I think it would probably be okay but it's such a big clue for Google that I wouldn't risk it personally, not 50% anyway.

Nobody mentioned any subdomains here.

The new site has a different domain name

I understand your question. It will not be risky at all because -

1) The first site has only 100+ (under 150 may be) backlinks. If 50% of the links are common between the two sites then it is not a big issue because there will be more links in future so this ratio will further decrease.

2) Many sites have basic backlinks in common. If they are legit links then it shouldn't be an issue with Google too.

3) Just make sure to keep the Google Analytics and Search Console separate for these sites.

That's all.

It's totally fine, especially if the backlinks you are getting are profile links, foundation links, etc.

Only be a bit more cautious if you are getting the same PBN links, and that's all. You don't need to separate GSC or analytics as well if you are not doing anything illegal or welcoming a penalty.

It's fine to use the same backlinks for separate domains. But I doubt whether it's good or not to add them to the same search console.

I already have them in the same google search console, so it's already too late for that.

Even if that wasn't the case, I can't imagine myself accessing the Analytics data every time from different accounts and using a VPN, that's really a hustle.

So in my case, I guess since they are in the same search console, I'll have to use different backlinks?

You already left footprints here to google stating both sites are under "your care".
So yes, you will be increasing the risks by alot more.

You should be fine, 2 websites belonging to a someone outter millions of existing websites in the blogshere .

An average BHW member have up to 5 websites . I personal do and track with the same G.console over years. There are 101 other things to worry about.

Using the same backlinks on different domains is ok.

You can use the 50% of the same backlink source for your another site. You already left the footprint that you have added both the domains in same console. But don't interlink those domains.

Anyone got real penalty for doing this, or only guessing?

copying the link profile will lead to poor results on the second site if it is not other subdomains linking to your second site

My second site isn't a subdomain, and I'm not interlinking between both of my sites.
