Can BHW please do this?

Hi there!
I think becoming Jr. VIP for selling stuff here on BHW might not be a preferred option for beginner sellers here at BHW. So can BHW take a cut for each sale instead and for that moderate the sale by acting as a middle man?

I mean this would greatly reduce scams and give an opportunity for the beginners who really want to do something without being a Jr. VIP.

Wanna hear your thoughts folks.

Already many freelancing websites are there. BHW creates an understanding and relationship between sellers and clients here.

Earn reputation and then sell for real efforts. For new sellers, they do not really do good with high price tag.

I have a good reputation but clients on freelancing platforms want their work done for way less than the market rate.

Doing that way Bhw is going to risk and not make any money that way.

You have to pay to play on BHW.

That has been the deal since conception.

There may be an additional option at some point for a different level to sell here but you will always have to pay to play.

Staff salaries, building expenses, server costs, tea for the owner, etc are all expenses that have to be paid and without a pay to play system the forum will have to close down and lock the doors. It is reasonable to expect to pay to generate income in any society that I am aware of whether it be online or offline.

In addition to what @BassTrackerBoats said, without the pay-to-play BHW would become heaven for scammers.

If you're new on BHW, but you have money, front $500, become a Marketplace Seller and you bypassed the Jr. VIP criteria to become a seller.

If you're new on BHW and can't afford the fees, the Marketplace is not the appropriate place to start generating income.

There are many methods on BHW, which can make you the startup capital to have a sales thread, and by that time you have the money, you made some posts, you spent some time on the forum, probably you got a hang of it and if not already, you soon qualify for the Jr. VIP title, which is the first step on the road to become a seller.

Imagine the chaos, if anyone would have the option to sell here. BHW is a big internet marketing forum with a well-regulated marketplace policed by a handful of mods. BHW is most certainly not a freelancing platform for penniless noobs. It doesn't act as a middleman, it doesn't have a big support staff to be the judge, jury and executioner. It's not a coincidence that the ability to answer to HaF and WTB threads got limited to Jr. VIPs and up.

If i'm not mistaken, we even have a saying here: It's not a right to sell on BHW, it's a privilege.

What if I don't have money, dear? xD

The main thing is BHW free from scammers. As I have observed from the beginning.

Do you really expect people to take you seriously if you can't pay $97 + $30? IMO, the BST submission fee should be increased to $100+, let alone Jr VIP. That way, we will be able to weed out some of the jokers.

Every now and then, we get a seller in the marketplace who recently started their business. Despite my preference for dealing with experienced sellers, I don't have an issue with this when the seller can demonstrate they're willing to invest time and money into their business (not just money into BHW).

That being said, whilst many sellers get their start on BHW (but are not necessarily new to business), the marketplace is not meant for beginner sellers and the review process doesn't let sellers through unless they can demonstrate that they competently offer what they're advertising.

Excellent post, @HoNeYBiRD.

I'd like to add to that last line.

We get a lot of entitled members here who think they have a right to a BST because they paid money to upgrade to Jr. VIP. The Jr. VIP membership, which is comes with many other benefits outside of sales, only gives you the ability to submit a sales thread subject to BHW's terms and conditions (this includes the TOS, the marketplace rules, and the marketplace content standards). If a thread or seller does not comply with our terms and conditions and doesn't demonstrate they can reliably sell on the forum, their thread will not be approved.

There will be new options once the BHW Marketplace 2.0 has been released, although that's all I can say for the moment.
