Can anyone recommend a good SEO who understands Google?

Just look at this picture:

This is how Google works. The x-axis is the content, the y-axis are the backlinks, the colors are the niches identified by Google.
The black circles is where you want to be for every niche, i.e. most relevant content & most relevant backlinks.

The technique is known as clustering. In reality there is a huge amount of clusters (niches) and lots of axes. However, the content and the backlinks are the major ones.

No imagine, your content is very relevant and covers the niche well. However, your backlinks are totally irrelevant. The black circle will move upwards. Once its outside the color area you will disappear from the SERP.

By making a post like this you're just asking to get a bunch of spammy marketing PM's with people offering their services. Read around the forum, and check out what your competition is doing (whoever is ranking top 3 for your keyword(s) is obviously doing something right).

Thanks for the advice. I have done a gap analysis for the top 3 and more websites for keywords and there is no consistency. How can that be. I am talking about a detailed gap analysis. All the SEO advice can't explain this. Reading around the forum doesn't have the info. I am a bit surprised the BHW forum doesn't have the answers. I am at a loss.

Has anyone done a gap analysis on any top 10 keywords for multiply websites to determine the what factors really drive google serp. Not just simple observations.

I agree with a lot of forum members. Try to make a deep analysis of all your baclinks. Analyze your competitors and their backlinks. Find out what is more you can do for your website. Are all of them topical and of qood quality? Try to concentrate more on good and fresh content on your site. Share it via social media liek Google Plus and FB. Rely more on Google's Authority and relevancy. You can make some quality backlinks on good sites via guest posting.
