Can anyone point me in the right direction please

I am starting over and I am new to this getting traffic to my website. Technology wise lets just say I used punch cards and dial-up modems. My family owned a Betamax.

Anyway, I just don't know the terminology and so I am getting overwhemled when trying to read these pointers. Is there a baby step or step by step process. Guy's I am broke and really need to kick off my website for my travel agency fast or I am going to be broke and on the street. I created my website and not one hit.

Facebook, twitter, pinterest all free. Effort is also free.

1) Travel is VERY difficult. Why? Because Google is your #1 competitor and you can't beat them on their own search engine

2) Add your business to Google Business listings, local listings, get yourself listed at their maps, etc.

3) Don't try to rank your site in the travel niche, it's dominated by Google itself and 2 or 3 big players.

4) As others mentioned: Facebook, Twitter, etc.

5) Pray

Number 5 on the list is what we all do after spending time and money trying to rank sites

I know those are out there but looking for tips like start a page with my business name or use my personal facebook or linkedIN
