Can a website be penalized for domain redirects?

I have a website that's flagged on Reddit, and I'm looking for alternative methods. Some have suggested to use another domain and redirect it to my flagged website.
First of all, is this white hat SEO and safe to do?
Is it possible to do this with a URL builder with a tracking link? Since I want to know about the conversion rates.
Will I need a unique domain for every link?

If you're considering redirecting from a fresh domain to your flagged site, it's a bit of a grey zone. Technically, 301 redirects aren't inherently "black hat," but when done to bypass platform flags (like Reddit), they can trigger scrutiny especially if there's a pattern. Google may not penalize it right away, but it might raise red flags if abused.

As for tracking, yes you can integrate a URL builder and even layer tracking parameters. However, it’s cleaner (and often safer) to go through a redirect script on the new domain. You don’t necessarily need a unique domain for each link if you implement proper URL parameters or slug structures that differentiate traffic.

If you're working with Reddit specifically, rotating referrers or cloaking might also be useful depending on your method. Just tread carefully.

Since you are using WordPress as the platform for your websites. It's best to used a redirected plugin. Here is a few options:

The reason I say this because you don't want add syntax code on to .htaccess file on your own if you don't know how to do it. If you do that it will messed up your website. Also you can remove 301 redirects links from Google webmaster (temporarily) and Bing webmaster (temporarily). Technically they only block for 6 months after that it still appear on the search engine. It's a lot of work dealing with 301 redirects.

If you want to used another option without using redirected plugin by connecting your Reddit account to WordPress website with these 2 plugins:

The point of these 2 plugins (I have never used these plugins before and it's not free) is to post webpages from your WordPress website on to Reddit forum with out being flag. Does that make sense? I have no idea how you got flag by Reddit using WordPress. I used SEO plugins to check the status of the website that how you know if the URL and the content is correct.
 
I haven't dealt with this exact task, but I’d probably try setting up a redirect through Cloudflare with bot blocking enabled—allowing only Googlebot. For regular users, I’d add a quick JavaScript check before redirecting.

That said, it won’t protect you from manual reviews.

Domain redirects can be risky if abused, Google may see it as spammy

You can track with a URL builder (e.g., UTM + Bitly)

No, you don’t need a unique domain for each link, use tracking parameters instead

No, redirecting domains won't lead your main website to redirect.

If you overdo or spam any seo tactics, Google will give a penalty .
