Can a domain that’s been 301 get link juice?

Hi, guys. I found a highly niche-related expired domain a few minutes ago before I post this thread.

1) the RDs are about 20
2) No spammy links, and the links are also from niche-related high DA site
3) The anchors are something like 'thanks for aaa from aaa.com", which I thought is pretty nice.

However, the domain

3) Not indexed in Google now
4) Had been 301 to a Japanese site last year

Although I am not sure if it will work, I bought it anyway...

Would like to know if I can still use this domain to build a long-term site and get the link juice? Any advice would be appreciated

this right here is what I don't like about it and why there's a big chance that google will never reindex this domain again.

However, being the crazy dude I am, I would still buy and test the domain with "churn & burn". But that's me, I don't always make smart decisions

You might don't know how much I wish that this domain hadn't been 301, but the truth is so cruel... But anyway, I decide to give it a try and put 20 articles on it and see what will happen.

I applaud your initiative. And I feel your struggle, I've had such struggles too, with some domains 3-4 years ago
